Homeboy Barbeque

This place is CASH ONLY! Not that this is a huge issue but for the passers by who are driving through town this is vital information. Besides that it was a wonderful experience. Huge portions and low prices. This place is a slice of Americana, some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Not a ton of places to sit but most people are taking the food out. The staff was personable and friendly and on a first name basis with a few people who came in while I was eating. I highly recommend stopping here for not just the food but a good old fashioned BBQ experience.

Friendly staff and decent price but definitely not a place to go if you are looking for a healthy option. They managed to make green beans unhealthy. Awesome BBQ and cornbread though.

The thing to remember when I review a place is what it is. For example I might give a high end restaurant three stars but a local dinner four. The high ends food might have been better but I'm comparing it for cost, service, etc that I'd expect from that type of restaurant. That being said, Homeboys is barely a eat in restaurant. They only have three or four tables inside (a couple of picnic tables outside too) and do a lot of takeout. You eat with plastic ware and its served in takeout containers. Having said all this if you love BBQ you must get there. My suggestions are two things, though I've not had anything here to eat that I thought was bad. First, the pulled pork plate for about $8 comes with two big buns and enough pulled pork to make to huge sandwiches. I'm a big eater and can't finish it. You also get one side. Get the creamy coleslaw. It's some of the best ever, be aware though it has pineapple which adds a little sweetness. Our some in your pulled pork sandwich you won't regret it. Secondly there's a smoked 1/2 chicken dinner which comes with two sides. They also goes for around $8 and we'll fill you up. One last suggestion if your feeling a family they have a family meal option which will fill up the heartiest eaters. If you are near Homeboys go here. If you need to drive an hour to eat her do it. I've ate at many BBQ restaurants and know what's good BBQ. Their wall here tells the story of how good it is. It's filled with the list of awards. So go here and eat. One last point this place is cash only so be aware.

Really good food, but if you don't go early they'll most likely be sold out of half their menu.

Drove way out for this 45minutes . What a great experience , staff was super friendly and fast. Aesthetically extra clean and the food both meat and sides was delicious. The amount of food i got for 8.00 fed two adults. Kudos Homeboy...you hit the spot.
