Halo Burger- Pierson Road

Walked in to see dirty table by door. Excellent service at counter. Burger only warm. Fudge shake did not taste fudge. Cherry pie good. Salt shaker on table had ketchup smear on it. Very slow time of day, was the only customer for fifteen minutes. No one behind the counter came out to check dining room. Left with dirty table by door.

Chicken sandwich was dry. Burgers were great. Need to have diet Vernor's. Tots and fries were great. Cashier appeared to be new and she was doing her best but manager was not really helping her out. She did however meet her frustration with a smile. Overall, a great stop with a great selection of different style burgers including coney dogs.

I had a craving for a spicy chicken sandwich, so I ordered one. To my dismay it was too thin therefore no meat and it was so dried out. I dealt with a young man who was very nice about it, then he took it to his manager who was very rude about it. He said "that's half a burger, I can't give a refund on half a burger!" I explained to him my first bite had no meat, the 2nd bite was just a crispy edge of chicken no meat, so I took a 3rd bite and found meat but it was dried out. I was trying to give it my best try! 3 bites was too much! He wouldn't give a refund. But the gentleman I had 1st talked to about it knew I wanted some pies so he gave me 4 pies for my family as my compensation, it's not much but it was something. Kudos to that young man! I will stick to getting a burger from now on.

High prices. Sub par food. Burger was very dry. Chili cheese fries were over cooked and very little cheese. Fudge shake was lacking in fudge. The 5 dollar meal is far less food than most 4 or 5 dollar meals from other restaurants. Cleanliness of store was sub par as well food and straw wrappers under most tables. All and all I will not be coming back to this location, and this may be my last visit to a Halo Burger all together.
