Holiday Motel

I used to live right by this hotel in Anacortes so I know the area well. I'm not really sure what some of the other reviewers are on about with the references to hookers. I've never seen any in this area including during my two day stay. Perhaps they know something that I don't. What I experienced was an older hotel that could use some up-dating. The room was clean, not immaculate but clean enough. The floors, bathroom, counters, and bedding had clearly been attended to but it was time to replace the shower curtain and wash the window curtains. Only some of the plugs in my room had been up-dated so I did have a hard time finding a spot to plug in my three pronged computer plug. Anacortes is small so everything on commercial is within walking distance. Bus service to the ferries is also near by.I never heard a peep from any of the other guest while I was there. I would recommend this place to a budget conscience traveler.

Oh, man. What horrible reviews! I go to Anacortes a couple times a year, to visit relatives and I always stay at the Holiday Motel. It IS older. It is also half the cost of the next cheapest motel. But the sheets are clean, the people are friendly and helpful, and WiFi is free. There is a small tv, two double beds and a little refrigerator. Yep, it can be loud at times, but folks eventually settle down. I just take a fan to help block out the noise. Seriously, I stay here and often with my 88 year old mother and we've never had a problem or been disappointed. No. It's not the Hilton. It absolutely IS old. But a lot of good things are. And you have the bowling alley next door, with the best fish and chips in three counties. : ) Give the Holiday a try. You might be surprised.

This place is amazing! By far the seediest, grungiest, most interesting motel I have ever been in. I can feel the presence of all the past guests in the rooms... hookers, meth heads, drunk truckers, drunk sailors, drunk hookers, methed out hookers... Oh, and I can't forget the Johns! More than a few Johns. If you want to role play your own crazy hooker/OD fantasy this is the place for you!

This place is rough. The walls are paper thin. It sure is nice being woken up at 3 in the morning by a pregnant 12 year old, Swearing at her 34 year old boyfriend.
