This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a hotel in regards to hotel staff.nThey have been extremely rude to our kids the entire visit. They scolded and threatened the kids that they would be kicked out because of not being accompanied by an adult to walk in the hallway. Going from point A to B, not wandering the hallway. They are 12 years old and this has happened consistently during our visit. The kids have been extremely well behaved for a hockey team. I will never be back. The manager was very rude to the kids and parents after we asked what we should do. At the end we asked if we could get our money back so we could leave and find another hotel, the manager left, came back andnresponded by saying actually we are evicting your team and you have 20 minutes to check out or we are calling the police.
Our family stayed at this hotel as part of a group booking for our hockey team one of four teams staying at this hotel during this time. From check in, front desk staff were rude and unaccommodating.nNot long after our arrival, the same staff started harassing, intimidating and threatening our children.nThey were not receptive to discussion to try to remedy the vague issues that were presented, and demanded that our kids be kept in their rooms at all hours as they have night staff members who sleep in the hotel during the day.nOur stay was cut short when our entire hockey team was asked to leave early and we were sent out into the cold at 9:00 pm.nnI have never in my life experienced such poor management in an organization, especially one who prides itself on hospitality.
This is a nice little place. The surrounding area is peaceful and there are no sketchy people standing around etc. The gas station next door has all your convenience products. There are also restaurants and shopping centres close by. One down side to this hotel for groups is that there’s no ATM. With large groups on trips it’s nice to have an ATM right at the hotel that way everyone doesn’t have to go to their different banks etc. That’s my only suggestion to the management. The hotel staff were friendly and understanding. The rooms were nice but the hall doors were dated. They had an old wood look.
Not too bad of a hotel. We came here at midnight and luckily we were able to find a room. Unfortunately, someone forgot to empty the garbage can, which was kinda gross. Thankfully, we had $40 taken off our room, which resulted in a cheaper stay. But we have stayed here many time before, and we sometimes had a minor issue. Other than that, the rest of the hotel is pretty good.
Coles' Notesn- Abundant free parkingn- Generous hearty breakfast with eggs, bacon & fruitsn- Room carpeting desperately needs 2x steam cleaningn- Lobby and entire hotel needs a complete all surface wipe downn- Sloppy room service. One day they had forgotten to refill the coffee supplies, other days beds were sloppily maden- Washroom doesn't have an exhaust fan.nnHope the management takes note!
