Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hermiston Downtown

This newer hotel stands out from other nearby options both in looking more inviting and not as run down. Making a left turn into or particularly out of the hotel parking lot from 395 can be a slow process during peak traffic. No issues with available parking. Front desk staff were welcoming and efficient. The lobby and adjoined seating area was open, well lit, clean with a more modern decor than older Holiday Inns. King suite was spacious and comfortable. Good mattress and pillows. Decent television though white levels were a bit too high and the picture could not be adjusted. Room and linens were all very clean. The roll down blinds deserve a special mention as they do an exceptional job of blocking out any sunlight. Very nice if you need to get to sleep early or want to sleep in. Which brings me to the reason I can't quite give this hotel 5 stars. My room was facing the busy street in front of the hotel. Traffic was loud and the sound carried into the room throughout the evening. Even with the AC fan set to high the sound of cars breaking and accelerating at the traffic light next to the hotel could be heard clearly. I've stayed at other Holiday Inns on busier streets that didn't carry sound to the same degree. That being said, as things stand this is probably the best hotel in the immediate area and I recommend it if you are staying in the area. Just be sure to ask for a room that isn't facing the front of the hotel.

Good location located in central downtown Hermiston. Hotel decor and furnishing are very modern; opened beginning of 2017. The staff offered par service; nothing bad to mention, but also nothing above and beyond either. Typical Holiday Inn Express breakfast -hot eggs, sausage, gravy, etc. Business center has a really fast printer if one needs to print a bunch of docs. Front lot parking is limited.

Great hotel. But backs up to train tracks so around 3am you get a horn blowing rumble you room train visit. Also eggs in morning had so much salt it seems it was made with a salt brine. Great budget hotel, new and very clean. Best option in town.

Had a lovely stay! The hotel was built just last year. The staff was polite enough. Rooms are clean and aesthetically appealing. I would come back for another stay.

Rooms are nice, well above average compared to others in the price point. Continental breakfast was pretty standard, though the pancake machine is cool. The biggest perk to this hotel is that the (free) rock solid internet.
