Bar M Ranch

The ranch is a great getaway from everyday responsibilities. The staff is friendly and the food is fantastic! There is no cell service because it's in the mountains. This is explained before you attend. There are lots of outdoor activities and then a bed at night. Love visiting the ranch.

I absolutely LOVE the Bar M Ranch. I don't understand the previous review because in all the written materials, it states that there is no wifi because the ranch is only given a limited amount each month and the staff need it to work. It is also in the mountains, so it should give you that "get away experience" and not having the wifi I think achieves that. The staff are always so accommodating and friendly, the food is amazing! I will be returning soon and am so excited to stay there again. Like any other retreat place, there are contracts, and if you sign your contract saying you agree with the terms, you shouldn't get mad at the staff. They are trying their best to make it the best place to get away to! I LOVE THE RANCH

The place is indeed beautiful. I had been going there for nearly 20 years when it shut down and was so excited it reopened. It was as beautiful as I remembered it. However the staff was so rude and condensing it ruined the whole experience. They flat out refused to give us the wifi password but wouldn't give us a reason knelt that it was for staff only. They have no cell service at all. I had to drive 18 miles to make a phone call because only local calls could be made from their phone. Having wifi I could have instead sent an email or text home to let them know I arrived safely. There was a group of 10 of us and instead of each of us paying for our stay they would only allow one transaction and then we had to pay back the person who paid. No reason. That's just the way they do it. For people who have no idea what customer service is they sure got into the wrong business. As much as I loved going there all those years I will never return until this group is gone

Bar M Ranch is Calvary Chapel Tri-Cities conference center so I will tell you up front I am biased towards this place because I work there. Regardless I know the painstaking efforts made by those who work at the ranch and church to make it a place that glorifies God and draws people closer to Jesus. The ranch setting is so classy and old-timey that just being there relaxes you and takes your mind off the cares of this world. I personally love the food, always great, especially when you consider what you usually get at a camp like this. And then there are the beds, simply put, amazing. I look forward to sleeping on the beds. Don't even need a pillow!

The ranch is a beautiful retreat center, the lodging is rustic yet comfortable. It's a great place to get away from phones, tv and all the others trappings of everyday life.
