Ordered the poke and chicken combo and I love the variety of flavour and texture. The poke is fresh and healthy and you get 2 kinds of fried chicken one is more plain and the other has a very sweet and slightly spicy flavour as well as some chicken dumplings. It’s a lot of food and it’s very satisfying. I’m glad we gave them a try. Super yummy.
Love the poke bowls! Had a regular size tuna bowl with wasabi mayo. Very tasty and healthy. The regular size is a good size but I'll go for the large the next time. Service was good and the wait was about 5 minutes so not bad.Food: 5/5
Honestly came here while on hold with the bank forever and ordered right when they picked up. I tried to order a standard poke bowl but didn’t realize the small was so small especially for the price l. Was a little irritated that I didn’t know the rice was purple and not the white rice. Although it was a tasty and the ingredients were fresh definitely overpriced for the quality as I’ve had much better and in the neighborhood. Would probably not come here again but maybe if I was craving and there’s nothing else.
A very healthy poke variety. The spinach leaves and purple rice give it some thick texture. Not enough sauce to be a saucy boy, but feels fresh. The scampi is rich in garlic and butter. Like liquid gold in the mouth .
-[LARGE KAUAI BOWL] $17.95 • The protein for this bowl is BOTH ahi tuna and salmon • The sauce is a sweet chili gochu Korean spicy sauce • Has cucumber, edamame, greens, tobiko, and green onions • Topped with seaweed salad, sesame seeds, nori, red cabbage, and onion crisps I just have a few things I'm not too fond of but overall, if I feel like splurging, I would choose this poke joint amont the many that now exist in Markham - The price is not ideal as a large signature box at other places at most is $17.20 Poke Box or $16.50 Poke Guys - The rice is too hot so it steams all the other ingredients right after the lid is put on - The portion is not a lot for such a big price tag attached to it I can easily turn a large signature poke into two meals from other places but it was definitely a stretch from here Overall though, I get that pricing will vary from place to place. This place offers some unique things like the gochu sauce that I LOVE and their service was quite efficient when I visiter Just taking a star off for the aforementioned reasons but give this place a try if you're in the area
Ordered the Chicken bowl and the Scampi bowl. The Chicken bowl was delicious! Best pre-set poke bowl I've ever had. I wanted to give 5 stars, but the reason why I gave 4 stars is because the Scampi bowl left the shell on the shrimps. It's such a hassle to eat and wasn't that great
Good service and great food. Service was fast. I went on a weekday around lunch time and got my order in under 10mins. They didn’t rush me to order and the experience of service was great. The food was awesome too. I ordered the spicy bowl and you can see that it was pretty saucy in my poke bowl. For me, I noticed I had quite a bit of fish. Every bite I took had a piece of salmon, which was nice! The star off is for spice level. There’s a little kick, but maybe another step up or 2 in terms of spice would’ve made it outstanding! Came here during the 50% off promo for grand opening. The line up was pretty intense, expect to wait 45mins to 1hr during peak hrs. Staff did tried their best to take orders as quickly as possible, and also accommodate slight change eg. I ask for no spicy mayo and no red cabbage. I have tried poke bowl at different places, so here’s my view on Hoki. The Good 1 all ingredients are fresh and nicely displayed 2 tempura bits, crispy onion are crispy not soggy, thumbs up on that 3 the protein portion eg. Salmon is generous. They are marinated just right, not too salty, not too blend The Bad 1 I opt for half half, which is half rice half veggie as the base. The iceberg lettuce are watery. Suggest to replace lettuce with spinach, arugula, kale etc. But I think there’s a cost concern if using the veggie I suggested. 2 this is my second time at this location, I find their amount of sauce very inconsistent. First time I try they put a good amount of wasabi mayo, but the 2nd time I try has very little close to none. 3 I wish they will show the calories beside each item, or let us know the portion of each ingredient eg. 100 gram salmon, 1 cup of purple rice etc. Another optional will be adding their menu to the famous MyFitnessPal. Poke bowl is a good choice for healthy conscious customers and I think many of us will want to know this info. Hoping to visit again and try the snack portion instead of regular, as regular with half rice half veggie is still a bit too much for me to finish in 1 meal.
Bought two build your own Poki bowls and they were great! Great service and reasonable prices. Update: Went again March 16, 2023 and still great food, service and value. One thing to point out is that during weekday evening rush hour the side road is busy. Took three lights to get onto Hwy 7 due to poorly timed traffic lights
Ordered the Island and Maui bowls. Food quality was good. Customer service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely come back again.Food: 5/5
