I've been here on several occasions, the vibe is always welcoming, energetic and the building itself has a metalic modern style. Great place to impress a date or show off to friends, that is if you can grill. It's not cheap, for a dinner for two an order of pork belly, steak tips, shrimp and veggies the total was $200 after tip. The meat was marinated well and was decent in quality. Just make sure you have some knowledge on cooking meat before you arrive. Service was fine nothing to write home about. Finding a close parking spot could've been easier. I'll definitely be back here in the near future. Good place for a date!
Long wait despite having reservations. The food was great, but my only complaint is that they don't warn you when they're out of sauces for tempura or mandu. Those are items only enjoyable with dipping sauce and I wouldn't have ordered them had I known they were out of sauce. Tempura eaten dry is especially terrible. The japchae is the absolute bomb, so delicious.
Make sure u have a reservation b4 going. They are busy for seating. They still take in walk ins, but the wait will b long. 1st time going back since covid. For some reason, the food just didn't taste the same. Maybe it's our taste buds, but we didn't leave feeling satisfied. Overall, food looks good n yummy but taste was ok. Service was fantastic for being a very busy night. Our waitress was friendly, patience n outgoing.
Had a great experience! Went there for my birthday with my family. First time too also! The host was very friendly and I would also recommend booking a reservation in advance if all possible. Nice that they remain open late, but they still can be very busy. No menu, everything is online by scanning the QRC code on the table. Or, we never asked for one cause we saw the QRC code on the table. We did the korean bbq and had ordered the thick pork belly, marinated beef short ribs, bugolgi, some veggies and fried chicken wings with white rice. All comes with side dishes. All very good! We also ordered a lychee saku and it is nice to know it comes with a lychee fruit in it too all in the silver pitcher, can’t see. Place looks clean and decent. Our waiter was very nice too! The reason why only 4 stars, street/meter parking only, no valet either. If busy, food/drinks can be delay, understandable.
Our first time here. We had a wonderful server who suggested some good food. Everything was delicious. We order beef and pork bulgogi, bibimbap and calamari stir fry. Bonchons were complementary. It’s a bit pricey, but if you go in a group it’s reasonable. Must try place in Minneapolis.
While in the Cities we found a place called Hoban Korean BBQ. We had to try as my cat's name is Hoban. lol It was our final destination for dinner for our trip to the Cities. It was a little weird when we went to the place. It didn't look open, and we didn't see anyone inside. So we were double checked Google and it said it was open, so, we went back and tried the door a couple of times and it was. I am glad we came back to make sure. The one thing we found in MN is restaurants serve a lot of food. We should have shared an entrée and appetizer. The food was good, just way too much. I realize that may not really be a problem, just something we were not prepared for.. We enjoyed all the food and would recommend.
Really love this place...Felt a lil awkward when we first glanced at the menuas far as what, how much and how to order but our waiter was very friendly and helpful in navigating the menu, suggesting options, and answering all of our questions. The prices on the menu were quite reasonable BBQ/self grill around $15-40 per meat depending on what you chooseenough for two ppl. A lot of sides come with a single meat order and glad our waiter informed us beforehand or we would've ordered way too much. There are tons of other dishes and options huge menu beside the BBQ but we came for the BBQ experience and left fat and happy. It was a fun experience and would definitely do it again.
Customer service was excellent! I'd say food was alright. We ordered pork belly, beef bulgogi for the KBBQ, seafood bibimbap, chicken bibimbap, and Tteok-bokki.Dine in: Yes
Fantastic service. Great menu choices. Excellent quality. Eaiter kept stopping by 5o refill the ample sauces and sides. They were out of the wings, but we left so dull I don't know why we would have ordered them. Loved every bite and will be back soon. My fave? The short ribs, without a doubt don't skip them.
The food is OK. The service is AWFUL! We didn’t have a fixed server literally so it just depended on who had the mood to serve. We asked for rice many times. Every server we tried to stop by said OK but didn’t come back. When we almost finished everything, the rice came. No one changed our grill tray even if it was so burned like the picture showed. One server was talking on phone. He just came, threw the bill on our table and left. They also charged 2.29$ for each bowl of rice. The manager explained that they were busy, but when we were having the meal, there were just 9 tables with 4 servers.
