Chilliwack Mountain is located to the west of the city of Chilliwack, on the south bank of the Fraser River. Driving along Highway 1, the lush mountain stretching to the north is Chilliwack Mountain. The mountain runs east-westnIt is only about 4 kilometers long and covers about 1,200 acres. The mountain is only 369 meters high, standing there so lonelynDriving into this mountain, I found that the green mountain from a distance has been basically urbanized. The asphalt road leads directly to the top of the mountain, and there are many residential houses in the forest on both sides.nThere is a virgin forest park Hillkeep Regional Park on the top of the mountain, 36 acres. There is a 2-kilometer circular trail. What is attractive is the side trail leading to the landscape platform. From the railing, you can see the picturesque farmland and the stretching mountains of the Canada-U.S. border.nThe snow-capped mountains sparkle under the sun and the clouds surgenThe virgin forest in Hillkeep Park was donated to the city by Pat Woodward and her daughter Paign a few years ago and was later built into a virgin forest park.nOn October 28, 2021, a memorial pavilion was built in Hillkeep for future generations to remember Pat Woodwardnand her love for these 36 acres.
Very scenic drive to parking spots, not busy even during the weekend and a good short hike to the observation deck. You won't regret it, yeah and deer cutting your path is so much fun. Must go for nature and peace lovers.
Different paths with different levels of difficulty. If you want to reach the viewpoint it's a beautiful trail however it does take a little bit of climbing. Well worth the climb though if you're able to.
A small mountain with some residents living around,Beautiful view to the lookout point,The trails are not very long but our kiddos enjoyed picking up these berries out there.
A great little local park. This park has short loops for hiking, really strolling, and a great viewpoint across the valley. Best to go on a clear day.nThe location would be better served if there was an outhouse if needed so go before you go.
