We had good experience every time we took the kids there. The pool is well maintained. The rink is in decent shape. The outdoor pool has been great in the summer. At the time of writing April 2024 the outdoor pool is being renovated. The library is a compact but still has a kids corner with toys and lots of books.
Great pool and sauna but will be closed for maintenance till June 30
Great place for families: swimming pool, library, ice rink, game rooms for table tennis and pool tables, weight room, as well as many multi-purpose rooms available for events. There’re many programs you can sign up for, definitely the nicest community centre in Vancouver west neighbourhood. Clean facilities and nice staff with occasional rude receptionists.
As someone who uses these facilities for health and wellness primarily, it is disheartening to know that some staff lifeguards and management alike don't seem to care about the safety and well-being of patrons of colour or other marginalized groups. I have been made to feel unwelcome by staff and finally stopped coming here after I was groped by some teenagers in the pool in addition to multiple incidents of harassment by other individuals and families, YES families too..racism is taught! and reported it only to have my concerns ignored for now going on 6 months. The culture in these public places is toxic and needs to be addressed urgently. Any other option is promoting a culture of violence and racism. Do better!
A multifunctional center that has a public library VPL Terry Salmon Branch, an ice rink for hockey practice and public ice-skating and a huge aquatic center great for kids to have some indoor water fun! The environment is nice! However, some of the staff are not that friendly!!!nnThere is also an ice-cream/coffee place called Blue Parrot Coffee Personally, I don’t like it!nnAlso, watch your personal belongings! I went to the bathroom, then my umbrella was gone!!! :
