A place that radiates peace. Here you can relax and unwind. Fishing seems to be allowed. The history of the Grenadier Pond is interesting. The lake is the remnant of a glacier that used to be here. Those who come to the High Park should make a detour to the lake. Also the natural botanical environment makes the visit to an experience.
This Park was donated to the citizens of Toronto for their enjoyment. Plenty to do spring, summer , winter or fall for families and couples, children and singles. And boasts a splash pad, two children's play grounds, a zoo , an ice rink, lots of space to picnic and a pond for fishing. Great place to visit.

Very nice. Amazing sunset view
Good place to skate in winter and fish year round
Last days of ice..sun is out..just figured flags..yellow caution
Lovely place to sit beside in the spring through autumn. Swans and ducks are always fun to watch and the cool breeze coming off the pond can relieve a bright summer day.
Lovely place to visit with family on weekends or holidays. Kids had lots of fun. We spot birds like swan, duck, Geese etc it was a fun filled day. Good to visit. It’s relaxing.
I walk past here 150-200 times a year. One of the best spaces in the city. It’s easy to forget you are in a major metropolitan area while you are walking along the trail during a summer evening.
Great park, terrible fishing. Do not come here for fishing, the only abundant species are sunfish in the pond and maybe the extremely rare occasional bass or catfish or carp, I doubt there is any pike in there. The biggest issue is that there is only a small area allowed for fishing which is covered in goose droppings, last but not least it’s teaming with conservation officers so if you want to spend your time having your license and gear inspected instead of spending time fishing then go ahead, but honestly it’s not worth it to deal with all that just to catch sunfish. I have been there three times and each time got inspected by the officers which is fine they are just doing their job but you can go literally anywhere else and there is a very slim chance of an officer being there or even if there is an officer present they won’t bother you they will just do their patrols, but here they will guarantee come up to you and ask for your license and check your gear. there’s literally better fishing anywhere else where fishing is allowed in Toronto. This is more of a bird watching/strolling goose feeding park. Not a park that encourages or really supports fishing. It’s very bad fishing culture at this park so please I suggest don’t waste your time and try any other spot. This park should just ban fishing entirely at this park and then problem solved. They probably just “allow” fishing for extra funding for the place.
