Our restaurant and store are open:
Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 10 PM
Saturday - Sunday, 8 AM - 10 PM

Our restaurant bar, is open until midnight 7 days a week! Grab a drink, watch a game or debate and order from our late night menu, including appetizers, sandwiches and burgers!

Did you know.....we have open mic every Wednesday at 10 PM! Sign up starts at 9.

Our late night menu is also available at our music venue, (right next door on Glenwood Avenue!). Live music 7 days a week.

Parking available at the Eugene Field Elementary School parking lot. Located at Ashland and Greenleaf. Enter the lot on Greenleaf. Parking available 7 days a week, 5 PM - 2 AM.

The Heartland has always been one of my favorite places to dine but over the years it has eliminated so many of the dishes that I enjoy that I don’t want to go there very often. But when you are there the food is good though the menu is limited. The atmosphere is still a little bit funky in a good way especially because there’s a wonderful local health food store right inside the same building.

Small but decent selection of organic produce needs monitoring by staff for optimal condition. Veggies and fruits can be limp or moldy. Inspect carefully. Nice grocery section, too, if somewhat pricier than comparable stores. Dry bulk section could stand expansion. You can dine/drink in as well but it's nothing like the spirited old days of the Heartland. Relatively reliable, subdued.

I’ve been going here for years. It has changed quite a while over the years, but I’ve never been disappointed. Always something new to try and their selection of natural supplements and their small grocery department is a really nice find in the area.

Can't speak about the store because I've never taken the time to explore it, but the food is spectacular. It's a vegetarian restaurant but they have some meat options on the menu as well. There's definitely a reason why the place has become a cultural icon of Rogers Park.

I like the new menu. There are many more vegetarian and vegan options. I just wish parking in the evening was easier.
