May 2022 - came here with the family after touring the city. Nice place and they have some nice screens for a game. Plenty of room and our waitress Rachel was great! For food we got the 1.0 LB Pretzel. It was good. Wife ordered the chicken and waffles, said it was good. I got the shroom Swiss burger and that was good. I ordered the Sierra Rose Blackberry Can. That was really good and my wife ordered the ciderboys first press and was also good. My sister in law ordered the fish and chips but didn't like it. My wife tried it and didn't care for it. I think it was supposed to be a light fish but it was to fishy for both of them. Overall a good place. I would come back here. Also, they have kids food, and they had board games to play. Different but a good touch.
Good ambience. Happy hour was great, 3-6 pm Mon-Fri, 50% off drinks and 25% food. Several options for draft beer. For appetizer, I liked Diversifies. That was good amount to share with others. I couldn't have finished all by myself. Plenty of seating available inside. I preferred to sit at bar. My bartender Zac was nice and gave me few recommendations about beer based on what I like. I intend to visit this place again.
Stopped in for a burger after taking the kids to the Hands on Museum a couple blocks away. I was only looking for something adequate and relatively cheap so this was a nice surprise. They had a kids menu which I didn't expect and the food was all very well done. Simple bar menu, but whoever is cooking knows what they are doing.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
I stopped by Haymaker on Saturday and found out they have recently opened up brunch. I tried the Deep Fried French Toast. It was a unique dish - the cornflake coating was crispy, and the cinnamon sugar added a nice touch of sweetness. The fresh berries and house-made whipped cream were a good complement to the dish. Overall, it was a satisfying brunch option, and I will come back again to try something else from the menu.
Service was a bit slow in that every item took forever to get to our table, but otherwise, a nice pub to catch up with friends or family over sports or drinks. Colleague and I ordered the Grape-Mimosa and Bloody Mary with Nachos to start. The nachos got to our table almost 30 min after our drinks, which by then were almost over and not by definition an accompanimentat that point. After all that wait, you'd expect better, but they were just meh. Bit dry, not enough salsa or cheese for all the corn. The main course were well cooked, had the Diablo burger and the Michigan Spicy Turkey sandwich, both served with shoestring fries. The fries were great, served hot well cooked and not salted Ended up choosing the chocolate truffle cake with a side of vanilla icecream for dessert which were avoidable, but the icecream is served like it should, hard not melty and the cake was great but won't beat the OMG Chocolate cake of Sweetwaters Cafe. The menu, funnily is all online so you will have to use a smart phone, however, the ordering is not through the phone. So part automation only. Wish the service were faster but would recommend.
Cool place with a rustic sports bar theme. I took my family for a late lunch on a Sunday during March madness. Everyone enjoyed their food with the star dish being the chicken and waffles. Everyone agreed they were the best wakes they ever tasted.
Love the Haymaker, home to my friends at the Original Baked Bingo . Good food, fun and drinks. They even have board games you can play at your table. Really cool spot
The food was excellent. I had the hot honey chicken sandwich and tots. It was all great. It took a little long to make, but it was worth it.
We love this place. Cheap drinks and starters during Happy Hour. Always friendly with a good ambience. There is a Pay It Forward board just as you enter where strangers pre-buy drinks for strangers that meet a criteria that they select.
This place is great for a couple of drinks with friends in the evening. The ambience is great though quite overwhelming for someone who isn't into sports bars. The service was great and our waiter was extremely kind, friendly and entertaining. They made sure we were well taken care of. Food is good just the normal average Midwest spot- their funnel cakes were great!
