The chicken was too well done. the macaroni and cheese was probably at least 2 hours old. They put the salad in with the hot food so my lettuce was definitely lukewarm. The biscuits were perfect. And my peanut butter pie was definitely melted because they put it in with the hot food.Food: 2/5
Best breakfast food around. Our server HIGHLY recommended I get the maple butter chicken and biscuits. I was NOT disappointed. The portions are always great usually I have leftovers. Staff are friendly and we've never waited long to be seated.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Loved our server very nice and helpful and attentive plus the chocolate milk to a pregnant lady is SPOT ON !!! If I'm in the area for breakfast again I will stop! Plus the Cinnamon things were delicious even as a to go dish!
Since COVID, this place has been hit or miss on wait times for food. If there are a lot of carry out orders, you are going to have to wait a long time. My family went for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 10 am. The restaurant was about half full, which has been pretty normal. We were seated after about a 10 minute wait, totally fine. However, it took about an hour from the time we were seated until our order was served. I had a clear view of the carry out orders going out and it was one after another. So it makes no difference if you are dinning in or have a carry out order, it looks like the orders are prepared in the order they are received so be prepared to wait even if it doesn't look that busy.
Important to note, I am simply reviewing the food. Our waitress, a lovely young woman who I believe is named August, was absolutely wonderful and so delightful to have wait on our table. I can see her being the star waitress at the restaurant and was really the only redeeming part of our meal. I hope she does well wherever she goes in life. She was simply lovely. The only dish that was received with a modicum of praise was my boyfriends roast sandwich. He said it was decent. My pot roast was super fatty, the roasted baby carrots were bland, and the potatoes were just typical mashed potatoes. The serving was also minuscule. Tasted fine but it was underwhelming. Two people were not impressed by their pancakes. The chicken tenders were mainly breading. They have some rather odd dressing choices for their mediocre salads. The biscuits were powdery dry and super salty. The rolls were meh. Serving sizes were hit or miss. My boyfriend just got the sandwich and that was that. No side or anything. Overall, not fabulous. We all left and were like “did your meal kinda suck?” and it was mutually agreed we won’t be returning. I’ll miss our lovely waitress but unless they do a serious overhaul with their kitchen, it’s not worth it.
I would prefer to give a 4-star review because I have always loved Bob Evans as a cozy, casual family restaurant, but I gave this specific location 3-stars mainly because the service is hit or miss. Some days, the staff are so kind and friendly, but other days not so much. It's unfortunate because the food is as good as you'd expect from a well managed Bob Evans establishment.
I understand today being the 1st Ice Storm. My original meal accidentally fell to the floor - So the other 3 people had food and could eat. Another person in my party and I had to wait for remakes 2 orders of double blueberry pancakes- didn’t have double blueberry & a half of meal that had fell to the floor entire farmer’s breakfast minus the pancakes. The home fries weren’t cooked correctly either the first or second time. I sent the whole meal back!!!!! I’ll try another time.
I enjoyed the warm chocolate mocha, the protein bowl was awesome and filling and the best of all our waiter Trisha I hope I got the name right made my day with her warm and kind attitude. I think I also saw a sign on their wall that says kids eat free on tuesdays or something… that is super smart and awesome.
We arrived pre-lunch rush. Our server was personable, but it took over 25 minutes to get our meal, and we didn't order anything special. A cup of soup and salad for me and biscuits and gravy for my husband. Also, the floor needed to be swept. It seems that they might be victim to lack of staff as most restaurants are. The food was delicious.
I love this Bob Evan's. It's close to home, service is quick and polite, and the food is just fine. I like all of the comfort food options they have and the many different types of breakfast options! It's always a good fall back when we don't know what to eat. Great place!
