Harpo's Restaurant

sat 4 of us at a table for like ten. steak wasnt cooked right-- first time, medium well, second time, rare. i wanted medium rare. burnt bread??? for an appetizer??? bread is great on its own. why burn it?! and the waiter was hovering. totally obnoxious. food was ok. lovely atmosphere. salad had croutons the size of planets and very little dressing.

I have only been once for a large family function and the service was fantastic. Food was delicious. I would go back again for sure.

I would never recommend this restaurant. If you want to eat miscellaneous pieces of tin foil in your food which the manager states is "not used in the preparation what so ever, so I don't know what to tell you"; you're in the right place!

An attempt to be a high end restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. But failed miserably when it came to the bland food which was very over priced for what it was. Waitresses were also unprofessional and looking confused at times. I suggest staying clear from this place, I wish i had.

Went to Harpo's for our 30th Wedding Anniversary - my husband proposed to me there in 1987 (it was called Chateau de Cadillac back then). The meal was AMAZING, and the culmination was this dessert with a candy heart that the ownere/chef made to put in my dessert to celebrate our anniversary (I had told him it was our anniversary when I made the reservation). I HIGHLY recommend Harpo's to ANYONE who is looking for fine dining in the Oshawa area. My meal was very tasty, and the chef went over and above to make sure it was, despite my pepper allergy. As a side note, the owner told us that he probably prepared our food for us back on the Valentine's Day in 1987 that my husband proposed... he was working at Chateau de Cadillac back when he was younger, and now he owns Harpo's!
