Baxter's Landing

Baxter's is one of my favorite local restaurants! I live their fresh made mushroom soup... It's so flavorful. The landing salad is awesome and my usual order! I love it made with the Ceasar dressing instead of the regular one. They also have a great selection of wine!

I've been here numerous times. The service in the dining room is great and the food always comes at a decent time and tasteful. If you sit at the bar the service isn't that great. Very slow to say hi and offer a drink and equally as slow to take your food order. I've experienced this multiple times so it isn't a one off situation. Great environment and friendly staff but bar service definitely needs work.

Was seated very fast. Waitress Caroline was very smiley. I ordred Cesar salad with no bacon for an appetizer. (I am allergic). The salad came with bacon. No harm done. Mistakes happen. So, I told my waitress about the mistake, she apologized and took the salad to bring me another one. The Cesar salad came back. Same plate!!! The chief scoped the bacon out and brought the same Cesar salad with less bacon. I canceled my Cesar salad. The manager came and apologized. The main course was really good. Watinress and manager was nice. Unfortunately, I do NOT trust the kitchen with my food orders. This is my first and last time.

2 visits I'll keep it short. Visit 1) Walked in, sat at the bar ordered takeout and a drink while I waited. The drink never came, food had to ready soon so instead I told the bartender to cancel the drink. It was a Tuesday night and slow he had 2 other guests and I think they were staff. I still left a tip. Food was good. Visit 2) Walked in, wanted a table with a view of the TV. Was informed the open tables were reserved for an event and those table were reserved for it. When we left the tables were still open and untouched. Our neatly folded napkins had stains on them. The service was slow. The Long Island ice tea was made incorrectly. The kitchen seemed great though, food came fast and tasted good.

Friendly, happy staff! Amazing service! Manager came over with apps for the kids, great touch! We love the food! We go to the Oshawa centre location every Sunday for breakfast! 🤗👍
