Happy Wood BBQ House

Was recommended this place by a friend, and was FAR FAR FAR from disappointed. Great food, all the meat was tender and juicy. And the prices are great, so affordable. Great place for drinks out with friends or a hearty meal with family.

Cheap beer and yummy food! Most of the food is less than $10 and you can mix n match items like skewers, appetizers and other BBQ dishes. Beer is also the cheapest I've ever seen at $2.95 for a pint. Can't beat that! Considering the posh area of Fairview, these prices are amazing. Chicken skin was super crispy and with spice powder. Didn't like the prawn as I thought it'll be the small round ones. Trying to eat this whole thing with shell was difficult. Veggie spring rolls were nice. The place is super huge and is empty most of the time so you can have a quiet meal alone or with friends. Although music was a bit loud. Heat was on lesser side too. Service could have been friendlier as I saw my server only at the beginning and the end when I went to pay the bill at the counter. Definitely recommend and will repeat! They are open from 12-12 everyday except Wednesday.

idk why it’s a top eat restaurant on Uber eats. This is the WORST bbq store I ever had. Allda bbq stores in rmd or bbq is better than this. The intestines n lambs are sour, chicken gristle is so hard to bite, taste like leftovers. Horrible!!!!!! If I can give 0 star Ill absolutely do that. I ate it several years ago for grand opening. Same as before

Tasty skewers and appetizers. No customer parking. Parking meter parking on W Broadway or free residential neighbourhood of go a few blocks away from Broadway or Oak Street but not in the VGH direction. This business probably suffering during pandemic since only two other tables came in while we dined. Good ended up being about $50/person after tips. A little much in my opinion for what you get but the food is decent and definitely not noisy and crowded like Richmond branch.

Ordered the fried rice and veggie noodles. Good size portions. A bit heavy on the salt and oil but there aren't many late night options for VGH night shift staff anymore, even at 9pm on a Saturday. Thanks for staying open later

Nice flavor and the oysters is extremely big, I thought we would have a fun night enjoy Chinese BBQ and hang out. But, guess what, 2 of three of us got stomachache and diarrhea on the next day. Shame.

This is the brand new Chinese BBQ restaurant open 2 weeks ago in Vancouver.The atmosphere is good, clear, not smoky inside.The service is warm and nice.Food taste very good, full flavor indeedWell marinated and perfect cooking.I recommend Marinated Beef kebabs skewer and Crispy chicken skin skewer.The price is reasonable.

There are so many things wrong with this place. My friend and I decided to give this place a try. We ordered spicy octopus which tasted like it was simply tossed in Frank’s red hot sauce. We also ordered some skewered meat and the server walked across the restaurant carrying our skewers in his hand, not on a plate. Not sanitary at all. As we were dining, the table next to us left, so the staff brought a cleaning trolly with bus pans to clean up the table. They had a bucket for liquids and we’re pouring l leftover garbage and liquids right next to us into their cleaning trolley while we ate. They made us lose our appetite. Overall this place is not very sanitary and the food is not good either.

Reasonable pricing in the neighbourhood Friendly staff Food is well seasoned And served quickly

This place does not seem to open anymore. Went there last Saturday but the door is closed even at 5pm and no one is answering the call. Looks like they are affected by the construction on the road so badly.
