Happy Holiday RV Resort

We stayed October 18, 2022. While we were provided a WiFi password there was no service. At first glance the bath house was dated and minimally clean. Men’s showers didn’t drain so at the end of a shower… ankle deep in water. Nothing special about this campground or facilities.

If I could rate this place a zero I most definitely would. We actually didn’t end up staying in the hotel that we reserved with them because there was bugs in both beds of not only the first room they put us in but the second one as well which they put us in after we complained and asked for our money back. So we simply cut our losses, paid for the room but then went and paid for a totally different hotel because we were disgusted. On top of that the woman working the front desk was absolutely rude both when we complained plus when she called me the following day to ask where we had left the room keys. She actually hung up the phone in the middle of our conversation while talking about the keys she couldn’t find when I literally couldn’t be more clear that they were on the bed. Moral of the story is JUST PAY MORE TO STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

We had to cancel our reservation since my father-in-law passed. What a fiasco! During this emotional time, I had to call them eight times and left multiple messages for the manager to call me, all to no avail. In addition, I sent multiple emails to no avail. We are full-time and have stayed at over 75 RV parks across the county and have never received this poor of service before staying there. I sure hope they get some customer service training and fast!

How would I describe Happy Holiday RV Resort "TIGHT". The roads and the sites are very tight. Had to park the car sideways to fit. The grounds are well kept, the showers and laundry room are clean. It's quiet and peaceful at night.

Staff not friendly and felt we were an inconvenience when time to check out. Thought checkout was noon. The worker Sat in golf cart across from us and stared at us while we packed up. Then followed us to the exit. No smile or chit chat just wanted us gone. Pool wasn't open. We took extra kids for my daughter's birthday and was never told it wasn't open. Kids ready to swim and no water in pool. Not a happy camper.

Great location for touring Black Hills sights. Friendly people and good campsites. Bathroom/showerhouses are in need of update/repair. Been there twice. Would stay again.

We got a very nice roomy private site near the back, was very quiet here for location near a hwy. Great location for site seeing, shopping or dining out.id definitely come back when in the area.

Nice park, small and a tight fit, but it’s nice. The staff/owners? Are very nice. The price is reasonable. The pool isn’t ready yet, which was a bummer, but I guess it’s still too early here for the pool. Nice pavilion next to all the sites. I wish I’d known about this place before spending one night at another RV place that shouldn’t even be open until things are fixed. I would definitely stay here again.

Reserved 7 days. Pool is there, but they forgot to add water. Overpacked with people and lost our reserved spot for the first night. Bathrooms were dirty with paper towel lacking in some areas. Soda machine by bathrooms doesn't work. There are lots of better sites in the black hills. I would not go here. Website makes it look better than current state. They are on their third ownership of the camp grounds and things are so so on maintaining. Fresh paint would do wonders here.
