The park was in immaculate condition and the employees were great to interact. All amenities were clean, and the pool was a nice place to cool down after a hot day. I would highly recommend this park for a stay over if visiting the black hills and close to all the tourist activities in the area. The cabins are great place to stay at.Rooms: 5/5
Very nice stay. We were here 3 nights in our pull-behind camper. It was quiet, the store was well stocked, and the pancakes were excellent! It is close to a large grocery store and an Ace Hardware. Staff were very helpful and supportive as we worked through a maintenance issue with our vehicle.
We stayed here 5/11/22-5/16/22. We hadn’t originally planned to stay here on our travels but we are glad we did! The park is very well maintained with a great store and awesome staff. Our site was huge and easily fit our 40 foot motorhome and 20 foot trailer with room to park our SUV. They have a nice little fenced in dog park with some obstacles for the dogs and a shaded bench for the humans! One thing that stood out was every morning the KOA had a breakfast at the pavilion that was really inexpensive and the pancakes were all you can eat. It was a unique and awesome touch. Overall great hospitality and I would for sure recommend it to anyone.
Beautiful and well kept park. We were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The park itself is easy to navigate, with large, level spaces. We didn't use the pool but it looked great and all the kids in the park seemed to be having a blast in it. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the area!
Very nice store. Nice pool and nice shady picnic tables. The power poles didn't have 110 plugs though and I had to purchase an adapter. That sucked rocks. Which means I can't do my laundry system on laundry day. Nice amenities though, like pancake breakfasts and watermelon feed. But we were only there 1 night and too tired to participate. That power thing would be why I don't stay there again. Unless they have other spots that provide both.
The welcome center staff were nice and explained the layout of the grounds. The camp itself was very clean and well kept. The pancake breakfasts were great! Huge pancakes and a friendly cook. It’s got a great location for any trips around rapid city, and the hook ups for water, electrical and sewer were all functional and tidy.
The campground was clean and had a great pool. The staff was friendly & helpful. I absolutely loved the all you can eat pancake breakfast they served every morning. It was so nice to be able to quick grab breakfast and then head out to the days adventurer's! We have stayed at many KOA’s and I would rate Rapid City as one of the best!
Was able to get a same-day reservation, and have been impressed with the facilities thus far. We have a great view from our tent site. The showers and bathrooms are very clean. There's a game room with a nice selection of video games, and the store has anything you might have possibly forgotten.
Customer service is what makes or breaks a business these days. KOA holiday in Rush City, SD is not a friendly place to stay; especially if you have young kids! Visiting with Boy Scouts and we are given “overflow” tent sites… doesn’t even come with a fire ring so we can cook food. And then to get yelled at for where tents were placed, although we were given a map with locations circled for where to put up tents. The rules on this campground are a bit silly like 1 vehicle per site.. but 2 plus a camper fit just fine without touching the grass… and then I was told that even if a rule wasn’t written on the list you’re given when you check in “it’s still a rule”… How would anyone know of said rules not written on the list?! Never will recommend to stay at this KOA again. On a positive note, the pancakes were amazing, and at least the breakfast staff were very welcoming.
Loved this place! Cleanest camp ground I’ve ever stayed at!! When I made reservations they reached out to see if we were traveling with anyone to put us next to one another. Great communication. Easy check in and out! Definitely recommend!!
