Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Red Deer

I rented a suite and I was pleasantly happy with it. The breakfast was fabulous! The front desk staff were very helpful and kind. My only criticism is that the suites are smaller than the pictures make them seem. Also, the pool isn’t very deep and the bottom is rough (it hurts the knees).

This would be a 5 star rating, but in the end the hotel disappointed me greatly. The check-in with Kathleen was great and the room was excellent. The room was booked with an offer where I was supposed to receive a $25 fuel card with my room rate. Upon check-out the clerk had no fuel cards and had to call her manager to figure out what to do. She eventually agreed to deduct the $25 off of the room rate at my insistence after asking if we wanted to wait while someone went put and purchased a fuel card. She told me they "don't normally like adjusting the room rate". I was a little appalled at her response. They messed up and should have been bending over backwards to fix this, but in the end nothing extra was done rather I get told they don't like doing this - wow! . Very disappointing experience from a nice hotel. If you make your reservation three days in advance as I did you might want to make sure they are prepared to live up to their end if the agreement as soon as you check-in. I will NEVER return to this hotel that is so unprepared and unprofessional which is a shame because it's a nice hotel.

Sure this hotel is on Gasoline Alley, but there are a lot of good restaurants around. My room was very clean, modern, and quiet. Most importantly, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast area is modern, much nicer than traditional hotels.

Nice hotel. The rooms were clean and fairly well lit and the bed was comfortable. They have an indoor pool and an exercise room. The person working the front desk was friendly and helpful.

Great hotel. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. And the breakfast was great!
