Story

The Hampton Inn by Hilton™ North Bay hotel sits in a unique community surrounded by scenic and historical Lake Nipissing. Located just three kilometers from the Jack Garland Airport and steps from great stores and restaurants, this popular year-round destination is home of Nipissing University and Canadore College, which both share a campus in the west end of the city.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn by Hilton North Bay for just one night, but it was enough to fall in love with this place! Everything, from the moment of check-in, reflected incredible care and attention to detail.nnThe room was tastefully decorated with soft, gentle colors that created a cozy and calming atmosphere. Even the bathroom had a lovely painting, adding a touch of charm. The bed linens were impeccably clean and incredibly soft—it was pure bliss to fall asleep in such comfort. A standout feature was the large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, and lotion provided in the bathroom. This is so practical, especially for long hair—no more struggling with tiny bottles like in other hotels. A huge plus for this thoughtful touch!nnThe breakfast exceeded all my expectations. There was a wide variety of options, including porridge, fresh fruits, and much more. The breakfast area itself deserves special praise: spacious tables and soft, elegant seating made me feel like I was dining in a luxury restaurant. Another lovely touch was the option to take coffee or tea to go, which is super convenient if you’re in a rush.nnI also want to highlight the thoughtfulness at check-in: guests are given a bottle of water, a small gesture that makes the experience even more pleasant.nnThe staff was incredibly polite and professional, and they made even my one-night stay truly memorable. Thank you for such outstanding service! I will definitely return if I get the chance.
I recently stayed at this hotel, and while the property itself was clean and well-maintained, I was disappointed by the staff's lack of hospitality. From the moment I arrived, there was no warm greeting or even a simple smile from the front desk team or the breakfast staff members I encountered during my 3 night stay.nnThe hotel itself was beautiful, with modern decor, spotless rooms, and comfortable amenities. It's clear that a lot of effort goes into maintaining the facilities, and I truly appreciated the cleanliness and overall aesthetic. However, the atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming due to the staff's indifferent attitude. I had daily breakfast with no one even cracked a smile let alone say good morning. The concierge would not acknowledge anyone walking by.nnHospitality is such an important part of any stay, and unfortunately, this hotel fell short in that area. If the staff's approach to customer service improved, this would be an exceptional place to stay. For now, though, it’s a nice property but lacking the personal touch that makes a stay truly memorable.
We had the deluxe room with a Jacuzzi tub. The room was very nice and very clean. We had everything we needed.nnThe included breakfast was beyond my expectations with everything from waffles to eggs, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt and fresh coffee, milk and juice.nnThis hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants, stores and Tim Hortons.nnOverall a great experience.
Abigail at the front desk was very lovely. Best front desk attendent I've ever had. Super friendly, pleasant, and attentive.nnI stay at the Hampton Inns around Ontario for work and they're always top shelf and clean rooms. Highly recommended.
They said that the rooms were renovated, must have been by someone with no taste in decorating. Much like others that sent a review in, the washroom look like it was 10 years old and poorly organized furniture, you can sit on the bed and watch tv as it is on an angle. We stay last Friday night and decided to stay another night, I on my Hilton app and showed availability. But when I called down to the front desk they said they are fully booked, but I told them on the Hilton app it shows rooms available. She just dismissed it and keep saying no rooms so we had to move and book at another hotel. The next morning I told my concerns to the front desk and was told that Hilton over books rooms but they now have lots would I like to stay. I can not believe the lack of caring, so I emailed the manager the next day and still have not heard back. We use the Hilton app all the time and this was the first, just no service and clearly they are busy enough not to respond to their paying guest. I suggest to stay at the Holiday Inn, much better service.
