Holiday Inn Express & Suites North Bay

This was an extremely clean and inviting hotel. I stayed on December 18, 2017 with some work colleagues for one night. We checked in after driving straight from Ottawa as a stopover before Sudbury. We got in late around 7pm and the lady at the front desk was very polite and friendly. She recommended an amazing restaurant to try (Station Tap House). The bed was very comfortable and room was clean. The shower was hot and had really good pressure even for an early morning shower. The free breakfast was very good and the make your own pancake machine was interesting and made a tasty pancake. Coffee wasn’t amazing but I’ve had worse. If I’m ever in North Bay again, I will definitely be staying here. I wouldn’t even look around. I would recommend to others to stay here.

Wonderful experience, I loved the continental breakfast! It was very good. The pancake making machine was so much fun, and the cinnamon buns were simply delicious!!

Excellent service. Quiet rooms. Excellent breakfast. Showers are spacious, clean. Wish they kept fresh coffee 247.

Stayed at this hotel last week for business. I would give this hotel a 5 but.... Upon checking out I was rudely accused of smoking in the room. (I guess someone on my floor was smoking) She had a very ugly tone with me ... I do look young, but she should not discriminate. she rudely threatened that she would be checking the room.and she would have to charge me $200 fee.. I definitely did not smoke!! .experience just left a bad vibe. Overall love this hotel- it's clean and in the best location for my visit.. might be switching my business somewhere else due to this rude Manager. She should definitely have a different approach instead of accusing customers.

Spending 3+ months on the road for work and in hotels, it's definitely rare (unfortunately) to find really awesome service at a major chain. It's not as common as one might expect. Well, this hotel made my stay here all worth while. While on business in North Bay, I had made a reservation at another hotel for my second night, due to the price at IHG being well inflated. Special thanks to Pamela at the front desk for accommodating a second nights stay at a much better rate. Awesome service, thank you.
