Days Inn & Suites North Bay

I travelled to North Bay in October to purchase my vehicle and only need a room for 1 night. I worked in hotels for years so I’m extra cautious. I put my bag in the tub and inspected the room especially after the trip from the lobby to my room. My hotel was far from clean and it was dated. The sheets had what looked to be coffee stains and hair on them. Scuff marks on all of the walls. The door frames were filthy and when I had called down for more sheets, there was evidence of recent bedbugs on the box spring and pillow cover which didn’t have a zipper. When the suppose to be “CLEAN” sheets arrived there was a dead bed bug on it. I attached a photo with the review. When I went down to the front desk to explain why I couldn’t stay there after only being in the room 15 minutes, showing the photos I had taken. The receptionist wasn’t at all surprised I don’t recommend staying here and if you do be cautious.

Me and my spouse stayed here, but if you stay with your family be careful that your children don't stain the sheets or towels. I was charged an additional $70 for a pizza spot stain on the sheets. Meanwhile, we changed to another more cost effective room and there were stains dark spots on both of the beds in that room prior to us.

Very bad hotel, was a very bad night….room was garbage very dirty we checked in late because we were on our way from SASK to Ontario we had to stop every 10 hours….this place was our last destination, till we reach to our final destination, we surprised with the dirt bad customer service. I took a lot of pictures of the bed was all stinky dirty smelly bathtub was full of hair. We couldn’t sleep very noisy hotel not be secure. We left early because of the dirt and I ask for a full refund. They do not do that. They kind of scam people never ever. I book with them….. if we slept outside was more clean than this hotel

Upon arrival we had to dial 0 to get an agent for check in. After seeing that we didn’t feel safe. Anyone can walk in without notice. Even though we noticed cameras by the time they show up anyone can wonder.nnWe got our room and when we walked in we noticed the paint on one wall was bubbling, there was an iron burnt mark on the carpet. We asked to be moved which we were, once in another room, the room was very cold the fan was on with no heat, the fireplace was not working, the agent tried to get it started and was not able to. The washroom is very cold. There were exposed telephone outlets. This hotel is missing a lot of TLC. The breakfast was okay, however no hot chocolate, the bananas were not fresh. Unfortunately will no longer be staying at this location.

Amazing staff. We felt welcomed from our first interaction.nThe room:nThe bed was exceptionally comfortable. The pillows are down feather and the blankets are soft.nIt was quiet during our entire stay.nThe space is divided well.nThe private balcony was a nice touch!nDove shampoo, conditioner and body wash were available in the shower.nBreakfast:nWe did not make it in time but it smelled awesome.nVending machines are available 24/7 but take coins only.nThe Building:nKeep your room cards away from phones and magnets. They will easily disable and become useless.nThe building would benefit from some small renovations, but otherwise is a comfortable stay.nThe tv volume/channels options are toggled with the tv or cable buttons on the remote.nOur room had a view of the lake! Very nice!nnHighly recommend it. The late check-out fee was worth it 2pm/$30.
