The food is good. The staff is polite. The bathroom is gross. The problem with Hamada is that they don't care about us, not really. They used to, but now they only care about what's in your wallet (& I don't mean your Capital One card). We used to be able to sit, have a moment to relax, check out the menu & make a decision about your meal. These days they want to know what you're having before you even have your water. Then the salad comes before your second spoonful of soup. And don't pause while eating, the waitress will swoop in to clear your unfinished soup or salad before you're unfinished with it. Rush, rush, rush... And here comes the cook. Very capable, but would it kill them to learn a few new tricks? I am paying at least $40 to be rushed through this meal afterall. The menu? Nothing new under the sun except that the prices go up every so often. Bottom line...the food is good, but don't think you'll have a nice relaxing dinner. Fortunately, the portions are very generous, so you can have your nice relaxing dinner at home while you eat your leftovers.

My favorite hibachi restaurant the quality of the food is top notch I've been coming here for over 6 years and they're still the best. They have a great bar and very nice decor the staff has always be friendly and accommodating. The wait to to be seated it typically under 20 minutes so it's just long enough for a chat with your date and great cocktail.

Great value for the amount of tasty food you get! Fun dining experience! Come hungry but be prepared for a wait to be seated during peak hours at night and weekend evenings. Not easy to make reservations either at times since phone calls are not always answered and sometimes go into an answering machine mode. Still gets 5 stars though & worth the wait!

walked into the restaurant and the hostess was no where to be found. Walked near the bathroom and saw several employees smoking weed with the bathroom door open. I don’t care what you do at home, but seriously at work? Finally, the hostess came out and sat us. The food was okay not better than other places in the area that offer the same service. I personally prefer House of Kobe on Route 41 in Indiana. After receiving the bill and leaving a 20% tip the waitress ask if we are going to tip more because she has to split the tip with the chef. She then made a comment about being cheap because the tip was not high enough for her. We will never eat at this restaurant again.

I went here with family for a get together and had made a reservation a several days prior. The reservation was originally for 11 people but ended up being dwindled down to 5 due to bad weather and road conditions. They were able to accommodate the change in our party size without any trouble and did not give us a hassle about it. The service was good and the chef who prepared our food did an excellent job. No complaints from anyone at the table. The food portions were large and each entree came with soup and a salad. The food prices were comparable to other restaurants of this kind. I recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a good time and a good meal.
