A really disappointing experience on multiple occasions recently. The clinic is disorganized. The receptionist is on her phone either video calling someone, watching videos, or scrolling through social media. Now I understand that if you have downtime at work you can enjoy it. But this place scheduled us an appointment for a doctor that wasn't scheduled to work that day... Taking a day off work is really inconvenient when the doctor you're scheduled to see isn't even there.. If you are making simple mistakes at work maybe get off your phone and do the job properly first? Furthermore, the doctor had us waiting 30 min only to come and not know what's going on... Aren't you brefied before you see your patient? What are you doing in those 30 min? I would assume you were confused because of the disorganization..
I had an appointment at 10am. I finally got seen by a doctor at 11am. No updates. No explanation. Even though I had an appointment, walk-ins were seen before me. Only reason the rating isn't a 1 is that the doctor was good. Asked appropriate questions, was quick, efficient, and gave good advice.
Absolutely terrible reception staff. I would give a zero if it were possible. I called in to see if they had availability for walk in appointments. The receptionist doesn’t even have the decency to greet the patients, rather in a rush they go “halton medix hold” and then leave you on hold for a good 10-20 minutes. I called 4 times today each time when it came to my call they hung up the phone. Very inappropriate behaviour for a medical clinic especially, where you should be helping your patients. Please hire more reception staff or train your employees better. Very unprofessional behaviour. If my experience to just get an appointment has been so terrible, I can’t imagine what it’d be like at the clinic. I will be avoiding in the future such a waste of time and no care for others *it’s sad to see all the feedback regarding reception staff yet no changes have been made. It’s time for management to step up
First I’d like to say I was not planning on writing a review. After my appointment I decided to read some of the reviews to see if maybe I was imagining the tone and overall demeanour of Dr Gill. Well I realized that I definitely was not imagining it. I called to get an appointment here as it’s close to my work and the receptionist was very helpful and accommodating. As I mentioned I saw Dr Gill and I think his ‘ bedside’ manner terrible. I won’t go into a long spiel but I will say I certainly will not be back.
We went to the clinic as myself, my husband and my son were sick. We got there at 6 pm and finally were seen by Dr. Saleema after 7:30pm. She assessed us well but was very rude and disrespectful towards me few minutes into the appointment. She stopped me inappropriately as I was asking question about my Illness that she has spent too much time with us….we were three patients and waited for over 1.5 hours to be seen. What was said was rude and how it was said was much worse. How can someone be so rude to another person. would have given a zero if she hadn’t assessed my son and husband well. Actually she also gave double the dose of antibiotics…the pharmacist corrected it for us.
A joke of a doctors office. Dr Gill is nice. The guy who works the front desk should be FIRED! He is so beyond rude. Leaves you on hold for more then 30 mins at a time. Doesnt do the fax right Is a complete mess! I hate calling because of him. I am looking for a new doctor now because I'm tired of this. Stop making excuses....I'm not confused. Regardless...man or women terrible terrible customer service.
Dr Hannah Sarsum is the best doctor I ever had! Has empathy, smart, very kind and is always there for me. The staff are so friendly and well organized, I have had dr Sarsum as my dr for 7 years and will never go to any other dr ! Thank you dr Sarsum for all your hard work and helping me and others ! Full disclosure: I have not seen a physician here. I didn't get that far. I had called from work on behalf of a patient who does not know how to use technology. The receptionist answers the phone "hello?". I thought I had maybe dialed the wrong number so I asked if this was Halton Medix. "yeah". Ok great, I then asked about any physicians taking new patients. "ummm, well, one but she doesn't have a meet and greet until October/early November and she only works Tuesday mornings". Fair enough. What was really shocking was her tone and attitude. I felt like I had called and woke her up. If they talk to a fellow health professional this way, I'd hate to know how they interact with patients. Frankly, if my secretary answered my phones like this, they would be looking for alternate employment. I hope it was just an off day but judging by other reviews it seems like this is just how they conduct themselves. Edit after owner response: I rest my case. Based on their response I can see this the culture at their business. I would never send a patient here. Your comment to "have someone help with technology" was tone deaf and ignorant. Not everyone has access to help. This particular patient only had me to help clearly. And yes, I used a shadow account as I do when privacy is warranted. Don't worry yourself with my profile, you clearly have a lot of work to do on yourselves.
Buyer beware. Paid for 2-step TB test and booked appointments. Initial charge was $90 and advertised this would include documentation. On all 4 schedules appointments waited over an hour after appointment time. On 2nd step, was told there was an additional $30 charge and had to produce receipt to prove it had already been paid. On final read of 2nd test was told there was an additional $20 charge for documentation, “doctors note”. Total $110 for two step test and documentation. Awful customer service and no regard for patient’s time or care. Highly recommend you pick another clinic if paying for services - or ensure you are prepared to wait and pay additional made up fees. Stay away.
So disappointed with how I was delt with. The secretaries seemed very disengaged...I had a co-op student take my blood pressure and when I asked her about it she shrugged her shoulders and said "I dont really know anything, I am just a co-op student" The Dr's said multiple times to just go to the Shopper's Drugmart or buy a monitor from Amazon to check my own blood pressure and then to and telI them the results. I am not a Dr. not really sure what I am looking for. Please keep looking for another clinic there has to be something better out there in Burlington then this one.
