Halibut House Fish and Chips

Love the fried mushroom so much! The fried fish is also great, fresh ingredients and good taste. But a little bit greasy if you eat too much. So don’t be greedy. And the chips could be better.

Came here on a Sunday for their $10 Haddock & chips deal. This deal is available on every Sunday and Monday while there is also a $11 Cod & chips deal on Wednesdays. With regards to this $10 deal, prices here are very reasonable, considering the portion of fresh cut fries and it’s battered haddock fish. In no way, both the battered haddock and the fresh cut fries were greasy at all. The fish was also not heavily battered that undercut the proportion of flesh that you’ll get. Apart from the fish & chips, the fish chowder here impressed me too. For $3+, you get a medium sized bowl of a slightly thick consistency soup with generous portions of fish slices. On a cold day, getting the perfectly seasoned fish chowder was not a bad idea at all. There was also no need to garnish it with the complimentary pepper seasoning on the table. Apart from the food, the staff here were very friendly and attentive to our needs such as providing us with hot sauce along with the tartar sauce. With the faultless service and very value for money food at this establishment, I already see myself being a regular here on days that have the $10 haddock & chips deal

One of the best Fish and chips in town! Always come back when I'm around 5th time coming here Amazing portion size, very nice owner, food taste amazing, have patio and nice place to hang around. Every sunday, monday and wednesday they got a very good deal! Check it out! Very recommended and Definetly should try!

High quarantine fish and chips with best prices. They have special deals on Sundays and I guess Tuesdays not sure. Better than many sea food restaurants.

Had the haddock n chips. The size of the fish fillet was large. The chips were soggy but thats with most restaurants here. The oil wasnt drained as well as they could have, it was leaking oil when I opened the packing 5 mins later. Hence 4 stars.

My new fish and chips place in town! Friendly service and the food is amazing! The batter is light and thin, the food is fresh, and prices are reasonable! Can’t wait to be back to try the seafood platter!

I’ve been waiting to come for dine in ever since I found this place but due to the lockdown... But today I finally made the trip to come have a try. We ordered 2 fried Halibut, they were so delicious!! The fish are fresh and the batter is light and crispy!! They are crispy outside but very soft inside that will melt in mouth instantly, and it’s totally not greasy at all I don’t see dripping oil on my plate The Greek salad was very fresh as well. The server was very friendly and she told us that all their ingredients are made from fresh. We also had garlic bread with cheese, very satisfying too!! We will come back again for sure!!

We really tried to give this place a chance as the location was great to grab lunch before shopping in the plaza. But after our visit last weekend, it's too disappointing to say we will not go back. We've been here 3 times and all 3 times the gravy was super watery. Last visit, everything was bland. The fish, the chips and the shrimp app. We also ordered chicken fingers off the kids menu and the plate was just full of chips with two small pieces of chicken strips. The last time we ordered that from our last visit, the portion was decent for a kids menu but for whatever reason, the portion was so tiny our daughter was still hungry. The staff are friendly and great but the quality of the food is not.

Everything is really fresh absolutely not prepared from before. Fresh cut fries. Don’t miss onion rings and mushroom. Mostly the server’s recommendations are good. Ask them first...! Very nice and friendly people working there. Portions are really big and each one more than enough for one person. I would say 3 for 5 people is enough if you all aren’t starving. They also have special price for particular days each week. Really good option for sea food.

I'd say this is one of the better places I've been to. The restaurant is clean, food is prepared fresh by staff that is meticulous and overall atmosphere is homely. Food quality is great; I've done some in and service is good.Food: 5/5
