On our back home from Huntsville stopped here for lunch. This is relatively a new restaurant, opened 6 months ago. It does have an old sister restaurant in Markham with more than 10 years history. It serves Chinese western food. Their lamb soup with green onion pancake was authentic and flavorful. The fried noodles in Chinese western style was good. The hand made noodles were chewy, it had sour, spicy, slight sweet tastes. The server was super nice. This one should be easily on the top of Chinese restaurants in Barrie,
Stopped in Easter Sunday evening on impulse, just walking by.. have been meaning to try them out for a couple months. Nice atmosphere, relaxed setting, & the young lady running things is very helpful! And the food! Finally! Chinese food that isn't the formulaic sugar-bombs many Chinese establishments have settled into... The dishes offer some unique, very tasty and new to me, anyway versions of creative dishes. And if you're dining-in, bring a friend! The servings are huge! I ordered just one dish see photos, with a small side of rice, and it equalled what I normally eat over TWO DAYS! But all surprisingly, extraordinarily delicious! The spiciness is not overpowering, but nicely present. The broccoli was fresh and not overcooked. The Muzak was an interesting mix of what sounded like International Easy Listening, very amenable to the surroundings. Will be back... With friends. Glad this place is only half a block from where I live!!
I was thinking to come here pick up the menu ...and order for delivery tomorrow...couldn't wait it..so I decided to order little bit of food...then I got myself D02 egg & chives pancake and D06 Rolled onion pancake w/sliced beef....the food is so delicious and the staff is very friendly....this is the real Chinese food I have been waiting for so long!!!! I am so happy now in Barrie....awesome!!!! Love it.. Highly recommend it
I came for the Thai food but accidentally tasted the magical Chinese food!!! Finally we have the most authentic Chinese cuisine in Barrie! I ordered the vegetarian plain hand-pulled noodles and winter melon& mushroom soup and both of them are incredibly tasty. Highly recommended.
Superb food and so authentic. It was all delicious, Northern China spices so a little different flavors than traditional Cantonese. Beef and lamb kabobs were the best. I will eat here alot to try all the dishes.

Amazing meal in here. I don’t need to go down to GTA for Asian food. This is a top of Chinese food restaurant in Barrie. I like to visit frequently this restaurant. Food: 4.5/5 Service:5/5
I normally don't write reviews, but had to because I really want this restaurant to thrive and stick around! I've dined here two times and were so impressed by the taste and quality of the dishes both times. As someone who lived in the part of China with a large Muslim population, I find their menu is very authentic and have items that you probably can't find elsewhere in the city. However, they also do have some 'popular' Chinese dishes like sweet and sour dishes. For what you pay very little, the portion size AND quality of ingredients will greatly exceed your expectations. The first time I was there I ordered a lunch special for $13 and ended up eating it for two meals; last night while dining I overheard the couple next to me exclaiming they weren't expecting the shrimp to be that large in their dumplings. You can taste that the food and ingredients are very fresh and made to order. What I appreciate the most is their food is not greasy or salty- it honestly feels like home-cooked food by my Chinese mom, but very elevated and flavourful. Cherry on top is their staff and owner are very friendly and attentive. In chatting with the waitress, I learned that their chefs have decades of experience cooking in upscale restaurants in China. Will definitely visit this gem of a restaurant regularly!
This is an authentic review. The service was amazing, the women working the front end are very kind. Apparently, they have more locations in downtown Toronto which are all halal. To date, best hakka places in Toronto. I've had hakka from almost all the halal joints in the city and this one takes the cake easily. Everything was fresh, not over friend and soaking in soy sauce. Everything was flavourful and had its own unique taste rather than it all tasting like hoison sauce. We had the general tso, Mongolian chicken and the egg fried rice. Amazing. So delicious! Must try if you're in the vicinity! Will be back for sure! Dietary restrictions: All halal
Its nice to have a place that has some authentic Chinese food. Staff are bilingual and friendly. Food is sooooo good. Not too salty or oily, large portions and quality ingredients. Highly recommend. P.s. if you are sensitive to spicy food, don't order the spicy items. They use sze chuan peppers. Vegetarian options: They have lots of vegetarian options. Can't comment on vegan though.
