Going past this at 5 years old on my way to Expo '67 was about as impressive as impressive gets. I can't remember I time that I didn't want to live there.
It is worth a visit if and only if you are an architect. We couldn't enter the property when we visited here. Due to Covid19, they apparently suspended the visiting tour.
Didn't have a chance to take a tour as it was off-season, but still had a great time wandering along the edge of the complex and admiring the splendor of the architectural detailing.
The tour was amazing! They tell you lots about the architecture of the building, walk you through the three parts of the complex, and the views from the sample apartment that you get to check out, too are very unique. Highly recommended!
Great architecture. Very creative apartments in a secluded area of Montreal with great views of the water and surrounding port. Parking as soon as you come down the bridge to the left if you are driving.
Booked the tour online and did the tour in the summer and it was amazing. Well worth the money. We also got to see inside one of the units. Tip: make sure you go to the washroom before a tour as there are none available once you’re there.
Viewed across the water and wished that we had more time to drive over to visit. Habitat 67 is a model community and housing complex designed by Israeli/Canadian architect Moshe Safdie. At the time, it was considered revolutionary and remains one of the architectural icons of Montreal.
