We had such a wonderful experience getting dim sum from Ha Gow dim sum house last week! I have a food allergy to onion and garlic and they really went out of their way to make sure the food would be safe for me to enjoy. Everything was so fresh and delicious, and when I picked up the food, they even had another menu for me with notes on it showing the things I could safely order the next time. That is some wonderful customer service! Thank you so much guys, everything was delicious and I will be back again soon, and tell all my friends about you!
For the first time ever a dish I ordered which claimed to be spicy turned out to be be actually hot and spicy. Delicious spicy beef noodles soup. Loved it!!
I've been wanting to oder these Steam BBQ Pork Buns during the whole Pandemic but always seem to miss there open hours. Finally got to order and yes I ordered a bunch an order comes with 3 pieces, WOW!! worth the wait the Buns are so soft and they're not skimpy on the filling big chucks of BBQ Pork. Will definitely be a returning customer, and will definitely check the rest of there menu out. So yummy
Had a delicious lunch with the hubby here today. We were a bit skeptical going in, based on the appearance from outside. However, we ordered from the lunch special menu Chinese broccoli with beef on noodles & chicken with green beans on noodles - both ordered as spicy, plus tea. The portions were great for $15, and the noodles were thin & crunchy, as were the veggies - perfect on a cold day. They accept credit card and cash.
If you're too far from Chinatown this is the place to go. The steamed Shrimp dumpling was a good size and the steamed Siu My was quite big. Both we're tasty. My fav is the deep fried Pork Spring Rolls. Nice and crispy and has a good mix of ground pork and taro. Add some plum sauce.... delicious!
i have ordered from here a few times now for pickup and there are very few negative things to say. the dim sum is just lovely - i find myself craving it more often because of this place <3 the girl that handles the storefront is always so sweet, too :-
It wasn’t outstanding but good sized portions and tasted good, good price. Didn’t like the siu mai but everything else was fine. Especially liked the fried squid with black pepper. Missing my favourites cheung fun, zhaliang but overall good! Young lady taking my order was super sweet and helpful.
Residents and dim sum fans living in this area of the Danforth should consider themselves fortunate to have this small family run dim sum place as an option. I always try to make a point to have some lunch here. I unfortunately live too far away. This is a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of Chinatown to get some authentic dim sum dishes. It’s great that they offer dim sum all day, not just in the morning / lunch. It’s small, only 6 tables and an eating counter, so they don’t offer the trolleys. You order off an order sheet. They do offer a great selection of other menu options from stir fry dishes to bowls of noodle soup that you can order off. You might wind up waiting for a table if you’re unfortunate enough to be there when the 6 tables are full. The place is tight and small. But what that also means is that you get your order quicker, you don’t have to wait around for a long time hoping to get something you want waiting for a little old lady pushing a cart. As a result it comes to you fresh and steaming, straight out of the steamer pot. A wait staff confirms they make everything in house. They do not take credit cards, cash only, so make sure you have some green. Waitress was friendly, spoke perfect English, enjoyed my lunch there. Will Come again. 4 selections of dim sum and a soda with tax and tip was about $23.00 as of Jan 2020. If you found my review, photos and video helpful in your decision, please click the like button.
