Michael was amazing to deal with! He did the impossible and had my wife's complex engagement ring custom made in 24 hrs. All the way he was caring and attentive to our needs/concerns. This is a great business and all the employees exhibit great customer service!
Who you marry is one of the most important decision that you will make in life. Michael Gurvin is a man of his word and he proved it. I came to Michael, having viewed rings at many of the "finest" jewellery/engagement ring shops in Vancouver. I came to him with a custom design idea with VERY limited time. Michael assured me we could hit this deadline. On the day I was flying to NYC location of the proposal Michael drove across town, across rush hour and was able to deliver the ring to me before I took off. The ring was exactly as I designed and.. She said yes! My thanks to Michael and his team for helping me accomplish this. I will never forget it.
On recommendation from my daughter, I took some gold in to discuss a design to be made by Benee for each of my children. At the same time I had a couple of repairs to be done. I left the one ring to be repaired and one for an estimate on the cost. I received a call saying that both were ready to pick up. Although surprised, I went in and paid for both. Unbeknownst to me, Benee had sent an email to my daughter she had an outstanding bill of $40 from January for a ring adjustment telling her that daughter as well as her family me would not ever be welcome back in the store. Yes, the bill should have been paid... but we were both quite shocked at the unprofessional attitude... especially me who had been planning on having several pieces made. Believe me, you will not have to uninvite us again Benee! There are plenty of designers willing to create something beautiful for us.
Excellent customer service and very professional. I went to Michael to have my engagement ring cleaned which I bought in a different country. Michael was very happy to offer this complimentary service and did an excellent job on my ring. Will definitely be back to Gurvins for my next jewellery purchase.
The entire experience was positive. Initially I was apprehensive about cost so I explained going in what my budget was and they were considerate to only show me rings within it. I left with two beautiful rings. He even threw in a box that lights up the ring when it's opened and a resize at a later date. This is important because I like leaving $ out of certain transactions. The entire process was enjoyable and hassle free. I highly recommend Gurvin and his staff. As they say on eBay, A++
Worst experience ever! They told me everything would be done by the time I got back from holidays 3.5 weeks later, but when I returned nothing had been done. I had to remind them what I had requested and they tried to charge me for a stone that was already mine. They then took another 2 weeks and never phoned me with an update. I went in 3 times and finally spoke to the person who was supposed to be working on it. Its still not done and im going to go pick it up and take it elsewhere tomorrow. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere too!
Worked on my watch for upwards of thirty minutes and didn't charge me a cent. Very friendly and professional.
