Grenon's Your Independent Grocer

I had written to the previous owner (Mr. Grenon) many times about the produce that was never up to par and way too expensive. I really thought that with the new owners this year, things would improve. My husband and I just stopped there (Sept 6 2017) and I just wanted a ready made salad. When I looked at them, most were marked down 50% and those that were not marked down were wilted and not worth buying. I chose to go to the deli to get a salad which is not what I really wanted to do. The young lady who was working the deli was alone so I had to wait a long time to get it. I told my husband that was it. I will not go to that grocery store again. I will go to Food Basic or drive to Orleans. It's really too bad. I did want to give the new owners the benefit of the doubt, but nothing has changed.

Always clean with good service. On-site butcher has been there for 30+ years, and really goes above and beyond. Excellent produce. Very spacious. Drawbacks, prices can be higher, and bakery cakes too costly for taste. Also. I believe it has a new name!!

Nice store with ok assortment of produce and groceries. Lots of prepared foods make grabbing a quick snack effortless. Bathroom could be cleanse more often. Automatically opening sliding doors.

It's a great store, but I'm giving it just one star for the in-house bakery. I've been shopping there for 13 months now, and it's been 13 months of dissapointment on their fresh baked goods.

New owners... Parent Your Independent Grocer Pharmacy is great Only place in Rockland that gives kids a piece of fresh fruit to eat while shopping with parents! I think all grocery stores across Canada should learn from this store and do the same!
