Best, most extensive selection of Canadian brand Chapman’s Ice Cream / Frozen yogurt I’ve seen in Ottawa.nnThey were a lot of brands here I don’t see in other stores, so that was cool.nnStupid that you need a LOONIE for the carts. Yea you get back, but we had to go into the dollar store to buy something in order to get change for this. Also BRING your own bags into the store. Not really a great amount of room at packing area, we had to wait for a couple to move so we could park our cart to start loading our bags. Definitely could use more room for the double conveyor belts & carts.nnCarts CANNOT go through self-checkout. Seems silly, especially if you have only a few items but are too big/heavy to fit in a basket toilet papers, laundry soap etcnnAs the lineups were LONG at the regular cashes, but no one was in self-checkout and we could have went through if carts were allowed.nnAlso why aren’t there lights on the cash registers to show which ones are open?nnOne more thing: I always check the price cards for price per 100g or price per item etc to see what is better priced. The cards here change consistency within items: some ground beef was labeled price per 100g, and others price per KG which made it more difficult to work out in my head.nnGood for deals and an assortment of brands - but store details could be better designed.
I regularly visited No frills in Orleans and found that they offer excellent bargains, especially on popular items. However, I was disappointed to see that sale items are often not much before the weekend and out of stock by Monday, despite the flyer advertising sales for 7 days between Thursdays and Wednesdays. It's frustrating when the advertised deals are not available after the weekend. If they could manage their inventory better, it would greatly improve the shopping experience. Overall, the deals are great, but the lack of restocking is a significant downside.
NOFRILLS is changing for better a lot compared with recent months/years. The prices are coming down, a lot of promotions and the shop is cleaner. My opinion is that the main thing that needs to change is that the employers needs to be more “polite”, they need to “smile”, to be “happy” not “disappointed”. Needs to welcome the customers. The emphatic attitude is fundamental for the customer.
On both Google maps AND no frills' very own website it specified Victoria Day holiday hours were open until 6. I got there at 5 and the doors weren't open. Don't change your hours to display specifically for a holiday and then not be open. Such a waste of time
As I was trying to shop in the produce aisle. One of your clerks was filling some shelves. He would not budge his cart when I stayed put and looked at him. He gave me a dirty look push the cart out of the way, and kept on working I looked at him straight in the face and I said thank you so much. You are so kind later, when we got to cash, the cashier would not acknowledge us. He was too busy flirting with the other cashier He kept on giving him googly eyes. I am visiting from Hamilton. I found your staff very unprofessional.
