2 set of long stairs! The first is quite easy to walk up. The second is more difficult! There's not much view on the second because the trees block it. As soon you walk up, on the left is the beautiful clear view with the washroom and tourist guide both that hand out maps. Washroom on top only!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

You can tell in one of my videos that this isn’t a joke. However, it’s a nice kick in the pants and a fun experience. Don’t feel shame if you need to stop or take a quick break to catch your breath…. Or if you see people being absolutely amazing and running up the stairs or carrying things up it! Nevertheless, the view is totally worth it!
This is a beautiful park! We did a lot of walking, some at an incline, but not too strenuous. The steps were daunting, but there were plenty of places along the staircase to move off to the side to take a breather. Definitely recommend going for a nice relaxing day.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
Great view from the top! If you want to quickly get to the top of Mount Royal for the view, the stairs are the way to go! About 10 minutes of climbing up stairs if your cardio is good. If you're looking for a longer more scenic route to the top, I'd instead recommend the Chemin Olmstead trail.
Excellent walk up hill. There are stairs or you can use the switch back trails. To the top there is a cafe, washroom and water fountain among other amenities. Plus, you can continue exploring the other trails.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
A great addition to this wonderful park and outdoor space. There are a lot of stairs. They are very shallow, so you won't have to lift your feet very high to get from step to step. And it is a great way to get up to see a view of the Montreal Skyline. Having lots of trees keeps it nice and shaded in the summer.
unwind and recharge at Mont Royal ‍ Love the fall in here, just look at these colors! There is a hidden lookout spot between main observation and the exit which goes to the beaver lake, but this season it is under construction
The shortest path from Montreal to the scenic lookout starts at the corner of Peel and Pine street. Follow the steps will lead to a direct accent to the grand staircase. The staircase is a rebuilt project, making it wider, bigger, more user friendly providing resting floors. Also, the number of steps have increased from the original 212 steps to over 300 steps. Fun, challenging, enjoyable, unforgettable and rewarding once you reached the top.
Great hike up to the top of Mount Royal park. Wonderful views. Take your time on the stairs and you’ll be happy and feel accomplished at the top!
