Nice Park, surrounded by tall buildings. There is a beautifully designed fountain here. Its also home to fat squirrels and pigeons. Autum has painted the trees with magic. Tourist information office is opposite. Grayline hop in/off tour leaves from here.
This is the famous green space in Montreal downtown, surrounded by office building, restaurant and tour buses, with so many tourist attractions just within walking distance. It is an ideal place to enjoy the skyline, relax or meet friends. The location makes this a default place for gathering. Put it like that, if you have not spent sometime here, walking or sitting on a bench, you have not arrived.
It’s all covered by snow. Was very nice to have a walk. But there were so many trash under the banches.
Great location and right beside the departure point for your buses. The park itself is full of historical items of note including the Boer War monument and the Sir Wilfred Laurier statue. Dog-friendliness: Not necessarily a dog park but definitely a good place to hang out with your pooch.
Very nice historical park in the middle of the city. The view is good for photo sessions too.
Nice park with lots of history and scenic attractions close by. There’s a nice parking garage across the road that costs $9 for the day 1 entry.
Lovely park, and the snow made it even more gorgeous!!
If you wanna be outside in a specific location where you would like to feel that you are in Europe then show up at this place and click all the photos you can!!
One of my frequent go-to places in downtown Montreal is Dorchester Square. When I get tired of shopping in the underground city or walking around Ste-Catherine, I find a bench and take a break. The square is situated north and south of Rene-Levesque Boulevard. Stick to the northern part for people-watching or go to the southern part if you prefer a less frequented area. There are several businesses east and west of the square, but some are in dilapidated buildings that could use a renovation.
Dorchester Square is a really nice park, well taken care of by the city. Accessible from the Peel metro very easily. Lots of benches, greenery, monuments. Good for photos or to just sit around/take a walk.
