The best view of Montreal. The walk up is about 35 minutes, and there are two paths. One is quite the incline, primarily consisting of steps. The other is a gradual, but much longer hill type of incline that you can use to reach the top. The view is amazing, but we went. There wasn’t a whole lot of space as it was quite crowded. There’s a nice picnic area just north of the main building, and there are bathrooms available at the top.
My favorite place to finish my morning runs. Must see in Montreal, but the sunset is unique. Very less people, absolute calm, and breathtaking view with the sun rising on the city. Definitely recommend you to go early morning.
Beautiful place!! I enjoyed it so much. There are 2 ways to reach the top, you can either take a trail or take a easy route. We took the trail up, which is definitely a challenge, as there are many stairs you must go up. But at the end, it was rewarding to see the view. The skyline was really pretty, and while I was there during the day, it would've been really nice to see at night. There is an ample amount of parking there, and a really clean park nearby as well. If you're in Montreal, please visit this place, you won't regret it!!
Beautiful views here. We took the easy path up that only had a very gentle slope. There is an option to take about a million stairs to the view point as well, if you prefer. There is a large space where everyone can find a spot for a view so you can enjoy it even when it is busy. The chalet has a cafe and public toilets. It is free to visit, no tickets required.
A must place to enjoy city line of Montreal. There are 2ways to reach it by a steep walk or through the challenging trail with 400 steps . We took the steep path which was more accessible as I was with my parents. The paid parking is plenty and is nearby. The city views were impressive from this point . The drone shots from this point were pretty spectacular. FYI:make sure to check weather before visiting to enjoy max as the trail gets muddy.
Pictures do not do this place justice. A very beautiful view of Montreal. If you are walking here, be prepared to walk up ALOT of stairs. Take breaks when you can. There are places where you can. Take breaks but no seats on the way up. So, if you are not physically prepared, the way up is going to be extraordinarily difficult. But, if you are physically fit, it's not bad. It's a good workout. We spotted many people going up and down the stairs. The entire area is fairly clean. If there are people, you will have to wait for a spot to open. We didn't have to wait too long as others didn't stay at spots too long. Overall, an excellent spot to take images of the Montreal skyline. This was one of the main highlights of our Montreal trip!
The view from here is amazing. I would recommend you to go in the evening when there will be sunset. But just make sure that you go 40 minutes before sunset bc you will need to climb a lot of stairs if you go by foot.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
The walk up the stairs from Peel Street must be a mile! Really in shape people were huffing and puffing by the time they got to the top. Crowded even when it had just rained and looked like it was going to rain again, more people were coming up those stairs. Nice view. Nice Patio. Latte so-so, lemon bread good. $10 with tax. Comfy chairs if you're lucky. Taking the stairs back down to peel street is a real workout for your shins and your calves. Limber up as you go along or you'll have to take a hot bath and use tiger balm by the time you get home.
This place is so worth the short walk up the hill to see the view of the whole city of Montreal. They say the city may have been named after this mountain: Mount Royal. This viewing spot was so amazing! The walking trail was not difficult, maybe 15 minute walk from the parking lot. Not very steep to get there.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
It's free, we climbed the stairs, which was quite challenging But it was definitely worth it, a very beautiful place, the whole city at your fingertips. I recommend coming here around sunset time. That way, you'll be able to see both the daytime and nighttime city views.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
