Esplanade Tranquille

It's so nice to spend time here! I like that they offer such comfortable public space both outdoor and indoor in. There're plants and music inside. I enjoy working with my laptop here so much!!!

Fantastic place to try ice skating. Free access with skate rentals at decent price. This is the last intervention of Quartier des Spectacles. Montréal used to have several empty lots downtown. This was a great move. Good vision from the urbanists/architects. Superb project with the chalet open to all. And the cherry on top an excellent restaurant, French brasserie Galaxy where you can eat or drink. If you are on a low budget, grab something around Tim Hortons, McDonald’s and many others and eat in the chalet.

Great space in Montréal ! Perfect to chill and hang on a rainy day, hot day or in winter when you want a great relaxing indoor space. Great great addition to place des spectacles.

Located at Place des Arts, you’ll find all kinds of recreational things to do. Lattes, fire places, viewing decks, skate rentals, or purchase your own and enjoy the rink! Their Zamboni crew really know how to smooth the ice, ready to catch that perfect edge! Happy skating folks! Dress bright & sparkly - super kid friendly, they even zone an area at the far end, where kids have a safe space to learn and feel a little less overwhelmed. Forget to pack snacks? Don’t fret -> there are an abundance of restaurants/coffee houses, or their very own bev bar/canteen. Thanks for the professional services, smiles, great music!!! I’ll for sure visit again and pack my figure skates next time!!!

The esplanade tranquille is really well set up for skating. They have lockers inside you can use, bring your own lock or rent one. There are mats so you can even go indoors in your skates and use the bathroom! You can rent skating supports and skates if needed at really reasonable prices too. We’ll be back! The cocoa shop in the grands along is upstairs overlooking the rink and a perfect cozy spot for an après skate nosh.

There is a best place to go in winter in the centre of Montreal: HERE! You can really enjoy music and magnificent lighting scenes while skating. From the common areas at the second floor, you can also see this “imaginary reality “ that you might think it is generated by photoshop, but it is caught with only ONE single shot using a smartphone camera!

Please don’t go! Just so peaceful and beautiful, and I don’t want a lot of people there!

Absolutely wonderful outdoor ice skating experience with beautiful poetic and fun interactive light video projected on the skating rink for a half an hour at a time! Definitely recommend!

Very nice ice skating rink! Super convenient as there’s also lots to do around. Don’t forget to bring your own lock.

an amazing public space that is still evolving. there's now a brasserie, a café and a restaurant as well as lovelyplaces to sit, pleasant music and an outdoor plaza, again, with ample seating. there are even chess sets available for use.
