Im tired of this branch!!!! Old equipments, front desk not polite, no towel service. Basic equipment nothing exciting. The only and best thing here is the workout classes otherwise this gym kills your spirit. They need regular servicing of their equipments and better core workouts equipments like other gyms. Their excuse of being a small branch is a poor excuse cause they have alot of wasted space here that they could use up for better equipments but it seems they have given up or forgotten about this location. They should go to the Vaughn and Brampton location and take proper notes.
I've been going to many GoodLife locations over the past 7 years and I enjoy this location the most. It truly feels like a safe space Women's Fitness club. The staff are friendly and approachable. I appreciate how I'm always greeted warmly during our interactions. They recently added new equipment with their barbell racks and a new hip thrust machine which I am thrilled about because i find that other women's only clubs have one squat rack and the co-ed clubs are often so busy that they're always taken.nnThe change rooms have always been clean every time I go and the equipment is also well maintained. they have good air conditioning lol! Which, going to other gyms in the area I realize was something I took for granted. It can get busy during peak hours especially since it's a small space, but for the most part, everyone respects your space and when I ask to rotate in the barbell racks for a set, other members are always happy to take turns : I do feel more confident and safe working out here - guess there's something to be said about women supporting women and this club I think exemplifies that. They recently celebrated their anniversary and there were cute posters and treats this weekend! I appreciated their finishing touches.nnBecause of above, I do prefer this as my home gym. Unfortunately the hours are limited, especially on weekends. Weekdays I also enjoy working out later sometimes so unfortunately, I trek to coed because they close at 9. I'd love it if they extended, and wish they'd also offer towel service.nnAll in all, a good women's club with new equipment and friendly staff. The manager, Sarah, was also really kind when I asked to chat with her about roles at GoodLife and the programs they offer.
I had a great experience here! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. My personal trainer was Sepideh and she taught me so much, I was completely lost when I first started and now I feel stronger than ever. I gained significant muscle mass in my time with her and she always ensured the workouts were safe and fun. She motivated and encouraged me to do my best and now I feel I have a better relationship with the gym. Thanks to Sepideh and the GoodLife team for the experience, this place has really felt like a second home to me!
This is one of the only women's Goodlifes in the GTA. I wish Goodlife would offer more women's-only locations, because I know there's a strong demand for women's fitness spaces in the GTA.nnI want to mention that, even though there are areas for improvement for this gym, most of these can be attributed to fitness companies' lack of attention to women's locations overall. Other locations, whether Goodlife or their competitors, hold higher standards for co-ed gyms than they do women's gyms. I've noticed that even women's sections in co-ed gyms have poorer standards than the rest of the co-ed section.nnThat said, this is my review for this specific location, if you are a woman in the area who is looking to join a women's-only gym.nnStaff: Friendly and helpful. They are sometimes busy, so you have to be patient or get their attention. However, they do their best to answer questions and always let everyone know in advance if there's a man coming into the gym for repairs, etc.nnHours: Their hours have been updated to 7am-9pm on weekdays and 7am-5pm on weekends as of the end of May 2025. I personally think they should be open 7am-9pm daily, as I think there is enough demand.nnMachines: A variety of good-quality machines are available to work out the full body, including two free bar squat racks and a Smith machine. I would recommend adding a second Smith machine because it's very popular, and wait times can be long this is a women's gym, after all, but I also understand space constraints. There was also a leak in the roof at one point, and it gives a bad impression to have a bucket collecting water on the floor, but it's not by any means the fault of this particular location, as I would imagine the building landlord is the one responsible for repairs.nnClasses: A large variety and number of classes are offered daily to suit different interests and fitness goals, with different times to suit different schedules. The instructors are all excellent, and the classes have lots of students, which makes the experience more energetic and enjoyable. They also recently started a kickboxing class with one of the trainers, which has been amazing, and I hope they continue offering all kinds of classes.nnCulture: The women at this gym are all considerate in sharing weights and putting equipment away. Even during peak busy times, everyone is respectful in giving each other space and communicating about sharing the machines. One issue I do have is when some members don't wait for others to be out of the way before taking pictures in the gym mirrors or even in the changerooms—I've seen other women having to point out the sign stating the no-photos policy in cases like that. Many members are going out of their way to attend a women's-only gym so they can have privacy, freedom, and peace of mind, and taking pictures with other women in the background, especially in the changeroom, is a huge breach of privacy. My recommendation to the staff would be to use chalk markers to write a friendly sign on the changeroom mirror to further discourage taking photos.nnCleanliness: I know the staff are doing their best, but can be a bit smelly in the shower area, and I have noticed some dirt/hair in other areas of the gym from time to time as well. I see the staff pulling out heavy cleaning machinery as the gym is closing sometimes, but service work and cleaning work don't deserve the same compensation, and I think professional cleaning from time to time would be smart on the part of the company, even if it costs a bit more.nnAs I mentioned, I think that a lot of the areas where this gym could use improvement are due to it not getting enough attention from Goodlife as a company, not to do with the staff, who are doing a wonderful job with what they are given. I hope that women's-only gyms can be better funded in the near future and I hope this review was helpful.
Wanted to recommend the training team and all who support the GoodLife at Weston & 401. Sepideh, in particular, has been an invaluable resource as a trainer. I’ve worked with her for two years and get excited each time I get to work with her. Showing up is a pleasure. She takes the time to know you as a person and your specific skills and needs, working with you to become a fitter version of yourself. Her own personal training is obvious to all her clients and even those she sees around the club.
