The desk staff are insanely friendly and the space is clean and well maintained. My only complaint is that trainers with clients crowd my space. Twice now while using the rack/platform, a trainer has set up with her client directly behind my platform on the ground. They didn't speak to me and I only realized what was happening when I saw him starting his set in the mirror in the middle of my set. It's both distracting and uncomfortable, and I shouldn't have to tell a professional trainer and fellow woman that I don't want some random stranger two feet behind me while I'm working out. Otherwise, it's a very friendly and welcoming gym and the members are very respectful.
Not my favourite downtown location. Staff are nice so nothing to say there. Gym is mostly filled with brads and chads. Equipment is limited and little space for stretching. Basement vibe is depressing.
I was on the verge of actually cancelling my GL membership and then found this gem. Not too crowded, vibes are good, lots of free weights my preference and the fitness classes don't feel like the hunger games to get equipment. No windows but overall a good spot.
Desk staff is amazing but the GM kat something ruins the experience. I've watched her botch member experiences one after another and seen staff quit repeatedly after complaining about her. She's unprofessional, rude, and unbearable idk how she still works there. My prayers go out to her co-workers.
It's hidden. It's quiet, but it's my spot for a 30 minute workout during lunch. I like the boxing dummy they have, I haven't seen it anywhere else, and is great for working on striking combos. Lots of cardio equipment, massage chairs, and friendly staff.
Only two sessions so far but This is a great little gym. Great use of space. Excellent layout. Really friendly staff. Clean change room and gym area. Everyone so far respectfully puts their weights away. I have been successful in timing my workouts to quiet times which is awesome. My last session ended around 5 and it seemed to get busier. Overall, the atmosphere is helping me get the motivation I lost over the last year and a half. Thank you Bell Trinity GoodLife.
Great equipment. EXCEPT!!! Those stupid boxing units. Other people workout at this gym. And inexperienced untrained individuals use it and make so much noise. Its distracting and unnecessary. Keep boxing in boxing studios, goodlife just be a gym.
Not a bad little gym, it’s clean, the desk staff is friendly and it’s relatively less busy than other GL gyms in the same area. It’s good for weights and cables but if you’re a machine person I might recommend another gym. The biggest downside to this gym is the people who go here. For whatever reason this gym has a disproportionate number of members who don’t know their way around a gym, so etiquette is basically non-existent and some of the people are meme worthy. Also, because it’s so small if one guy doesn’t wear deodorant it becomes everybody’s problem, and like others have said it’s not uncommon for there to be a guy who looks like he argues with 12yr olds online going HAM on the boxing bag. TLDR: come here on off peak hours and enjoy your workout.
Fraud, sneaky company that has terrible customer service. Canceled my membership see confirmation of cancellation screenshot and they kept charging me for a so many times after cancellation. Called in, asked for explanation. Received terrible customer service and the only reason they gave is a “note” saying I didn’t want to cancel— which is instantly ridiculous. No integrity. Liar. I hope no one experience this fraud anymore. Don’t come here.
Small location. Has almost all of the equipment you could want. If you go on a weekend there's a good chance you'll be one of the only people there. Friendly staff. Update for 2021: Very clean, not busy so it's easy to distance from people. A hidden gem of a gym right downtown. Good to go to if you don't want all the stuff the 137 Yonge location has and want to avoid the crowds. Most of the machines are the weird ones that move the seat and your body as you use them despite being mostly unrelated to the muscle they work out. Takes some getting used to, but they work.
