recently got a 7-day trial through my friend Evan, who had just signed up at GoodLife Queensview and I was lucky enough to have Zack as my Fitness Advisor!nnZack was super friendly, professional, and genuinely nice from the start. He’s very knowledgeable about fitness and gym routines, and he took the time to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I’ve had some not-so-great experiences with GoodLife in the past especially around customer service, but Zack completely changed my perspective at least for the Queensview location that's for sure!nnI’ve been to quite a few gyms, including Movati, and honestly, I’ve never experienced this level of above-and-beyond customer service. Zack made my first experience at this location such a positive one. Super chill, approachable, and clearly passionate about helping people meet their goals.nnThanks Zack for making my visit such a great experience you’re an awesome representative for GoodLife Queensview!
5 stars because of Kat, a personal trainer at this location. I am a complete novice at the gym but she made everything so accessible and easy to understand. Very knowledgable and is amazing at tailoring plans around chronic injuries.nI'm actually excited to workout for the first time in years! 100/100 recommend!
Been going to this location on and off for a LONG time. Everything from upkeep to equipment to staff is mediocre. Gave 3 stars.nnKeep reading for details:nnThings are often broken, the gym tends to close for a week or more each year due to water, 0 refund or consideration other than “use another location”. The staff seem not to care, really about anything. It used to be all about customer experience. This place also used to be 24h. They close at 6pm on weekends… that’s borderline unacceptable for the price we pay. Nobody tidies up equipment, weight area, nobody walking around holding customers accountable as they sit and text in machines for 20 minutes with headphones on. The enthusiasm is at an all time low, and so is the state of the equipment. Not to mention the place is always PACKED. Classes, squash and regular patrons. Not sure why it has a women’s area… it needs that space for everyone. There are plenty of women-only gyms. This gym, does not have the infrastructure.nnThe good: Decent machine selection, the place is accessible, and functionally, it passes as a fitness warehouse.nnIf you’re looking for a quick and dirty workout, this place is fine. If you’re looking for a fitness experience on a consistent basis- there are better options.
I’ve been a member at this GoodLife for about three years now, and it’s been a consistently great experience. The gym is always clean, well-equipped, and has everything I need for a solid workout. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable and welcoming place to train.
I’ve been a loyal GoodLife member for over 10 years, consistently attending 4–5 times a week. Recently, I decided to invest in a 6-pack of personal training sessions nearly $400, which was initially misrepresented — though that’s another issue. Despite the rocky start, I went ahead with the training and actually enjoyed it. My trainer was excellent.nnUnfortunately, I became ill the night before one of my sessions and emailed the Fitness Manager roughly 12 hours in advance to cancel. While I understand the 24-hour cancellation policy, illness is not something you can predict, and this was the only session I had to miss.nnGiven my long-term commitment to GoodLife and the reasonable nature of the situation, I expected a degree of understanding and flexibility. Instead, I was met with a cold and dismissive response: “I’m the manager and it’s my decision. You can call the member experience line if you have a problem.”nnThat lack of empathy and professionalism left a lasting negative impression. I was prepared to sign up for a longer-term personal training membership, but this interaction has completely changed my mind.nnGood customer service — especially in the fitness and wellness industry — should consider individual circumstances, particularly for loyal, long-standing members. Sadly, this experience has made me reconsider my relationship with this club.
