Saturday night. Hawkesbury Goodies Restaurant.nnAbsolutely unacceptable experience. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, and chili flakes and the bill came to over $61 before tip — more than $70 for one pizza with tip..nnLooking at the receipt, I realized why: $30 for the base pizza Pepperoni Pizza, then $9 for bacon, $7.50 for mushrooms, and another $7.50 for hot peppers. Instead of a Combination type price. At Gabriel's in the city this is a $36 pizza taxed included. $24 in extra charges for basic toppings you’d expect to be reasonably priced.nnWhen I called back to question it, I was told it was my fault because I didn’t order the pizza by its “menu name.” Since I didn’t have a menu I don’t live in Hawkesbury, I was charged ingredient by ingredient at inflated prices.nnInstead of helping, the person on the phone said “too bad” and hung up on me.nnThis is nothing short of price gouging and terrible customer service. I had ordered from them to support a local business struggling due to construction, but after being blatantly ripped off, I’ll never give them another cent. Businesses that treat customers like this should be ashamed.nnHow did the pizza taste? Bitter... very bitter!

I’m writing this review crying. Crying, because I got exceptionally great service. The portions were huge and the taste is great. We eat half of the portion and we’re full. Everything was fresh and delicious. I will add this place to my favourites and visit it again soon.

Amazing food, it was a really good first experience.I got the 2 skewer souvlaki platter and it was some of the tastiest and most tender chicken I've ever eaten! A few dollars more and I made it a 3 course meal, and it was all worth it. Every single thing I ate chicken noodle soup, chef salad, rice, chicken, tzatziki, french fries and rice pudding was delicious. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Always stop in on return to Montreal. This is one restaurant definitely worth a detour! The smoke meat platter is fantastic. The club sandwiches and hamburger platters are equally 5*. Generous portions, always leave with a doggy bag. French fries are all homemade .
