We had the Firecracker Shrimp appetizer, I'm going to ask for the sauce on the side next time, mom enjoyed the Braised Short Ribs, and the special that evening was GF Fish and Chips which were very good.
We stopped in for dinner last night at Glen Prairie. What a wonderful experience! Kat greeted us, bartended for us Cider & Bubbles and The Perfect Martini, waited on us, and made sure we had a great and relaxing time. Our cocktails and dinners were absolutely delicious I had the Scottish Salmon and my husband had the Ribeye Steak dinner! We were blown away by how spectacular everything was. We are so lucky to have a restaurant of this caliber in our very own neighborhood. Thanks Kat and our compliments to the Chef!
Nice spot to grab some food. Good sized menu, and many gluten free options for gluten intolerant customers. Server was very nice with helpful tips. The food was locally sourced. They food tasted fresh and was flavorful. The green beans were a little too hard for me and the fish entree didn’t fill me up. For $25 entree I wanted to be at least full. Overall a nice experience!
My wife wanted to try somewhere new for dinner tonight and she picked this restaurant. We couldn’t have been more blown away. We had the arugula black bean salad and I had the duck breast. This was the best meal I’ve ever had. The service was outstanding. Our drinks never ran empty and the server was attentive but not overly. I can’t believe this place has been hiding from me all this time. I can not recommend it enough.
Went there last night. I ordered chicken and it was tasty but they only served a chicken thigh and mashed potatoes. The price of $27 for a thigh and mashed was way overpriced and left like I was ripped off. My sister ordered a hamburger and was served on a huge bun and a postage stamp burger. The service was very very slow. I had eaten there several times before and thought it was good but not this time as I felt I was ripped off.
Absolutely horrible experience tonight. Went for a nice dinner date with Hubbie and we were told over an an hour wait for a table, OK, wt may consider waiting. I asked if we could sit at the empty bar and order food there; Hostess/Manager said we can only have drinks and no food allowed at the bar. So we left. My friend called minutes after we left and asked if they had seats at the bar available and was told yes. She asked if they could also order dinner at the bar and was also told yes. Either the manager is racist or a liar. Never going back there again!
Attended a wine dinner here tonight. Absolutely delicious. Every course, perfect prepared, cooked, served. My only criticism is that the food could have come out at a little faster pace. All gluten free, the wine pairing, perfect. Reasonably priced and close to my home. We will be back
They closed during covid but they back and we are excited about it! They do a lot of farm to table which is great to support local. Their food is great and they are always updating their menu. They have a lot of support for dietary restrictions. If you are looking for something new I would highly suggest trying this place! Staff is very friendly. Atmosphere is very warm and inviting.
This place was incredible I had not had gluten free fried food since 2016 and had amazing fish and chips. This place is mostly modern takes on comfort classics. The will even bring out gluten free bread and butter if wanted, but they have regular bread if you don't have Celiac or gluten sensitivity. Also tried the duck breast and braised ribs and both were really good. I can't wait to return and try more.
I have been going to this place for about 15 years and always stop by after a long Saturday at work to have a drink and chat with my favorite bartender Kat and get some takeout for me and my wife, but my recent visit this Saturday was met with me walking in and heading towards the bar and was asked by the hostess were are you going and I replied to the bar to have a drink and order takeout and she replied no we are short staffed and are not doing takeout and I was pretty much asked to leave! How ignorant is that! I can’t imagine takeout for 2 would overwhelm the staff, sorry to say but I can’t see returning any time soon! Get some new management that will treat loyal customers with respect!
