It’s the only place I know of in CR to get a legit Chicago Italian beef, so I support Gianna’s full stop. The beef is the real deal. I haven’t tried the Chicago dog yet, but I see the Vienna Beef sign in the window so I presume it’s authentic as well. But: a few suggestions. First, it takes a while for the food prep. I get it, this ain’t McDonald’s - quality takes time. But, if you’re making folks wait especially with counter service then give them folks a number and bring it out. Take a cue from Chick-fil-a. It’s a small thing that would make a big difference. Second, if you ask for a tip when I ring up using credit/debit I’m more likely to do it if you bring the food out. Just a thought.
I thought the food was good. Maybe just a tad but pricey but good. There could have been more meat for the price. Especially considering we went to the new Italian Beef spot in Newbo and the sandwich was huge, nearly 30% larger.
Great Italian beef sandwiches, wet or dipped completely. Spicy and/or sweet peppers, and cheese optional. I only get Italian beef as it is so good. Eventually I might try some others but haven't found a reason to yet. Update: I still love this place. Glad to see they are still around.
Very good food and good service, would be 5 stars but the cheese sauce is a big part of the meal for us and they run out of it sometimes. The cheese sauce is crucial. I have worked as a kitchen manager and understand that this is the way it goes sometimes.
Went there for the 1st time and the messed up our order. We did not even get the extra things ordered and paid around $50. I messaged them about it and the response was defensive and could not even apologize. I would rather drive to Al’s in Chicago then eat at this establishment. Sometimes you need to just make it right! Especially when someone spends this much for sandwiches. You have all the excuses for your mistakes but what about the customer. If I took the time to message you and say we did not get what we ordered and I live out of town, make the order right! Not just replace an item or 2. You messed up the order. Replace or refund the order. That simple.
Easily one of the best meals in town. Well priced and large quantities if that's what you want. Staff is extremely nice, and the food has the best quality and taste I have ever experienced in Linn county.
I have had their food catered at work a few times, and it has always been good. This was my first time eating in their store. It lived up to the delicious reputation they have established in my experience.Food: 5/5
Been going here for years , USUALLY its very good. Today not even close , 2 beef sandwiches 1 combo sandwich and fries $40 No sandwich had provolone cheese Asked for a side of Giardinera but that never happened...... onions that were pasty and extra nasty .... large fries equivalent to McDonald's small. This was my wife's and my son's as well as myselfs lunch that apparently no one cared about.... It was TO GO so why should you care...... I tried to call but you folks know how that goes..... you encouraged me to send a message..... here it is. Thanks for the big disappointment Guess I'll have to look for a new Italian beef place.
Very nice place. You can tell the owner made this restaurant in memorance of his daughter. Her pics are beautifuly displayed. You also get the big city feel as soon as you walk in. Almost Gentleman's style like if you know what I mean. Ladies if you single check this place out. The sandwiches are soo darn good and the portions are eye widening.
Everything is 10/10. I crave a beef and fries at least 2x a week. Staff is awesome. Would sell my soul for them to have a drive through/food truck just because parking downtown can be a lot but also, please open on weekends <3 <3Food: 5/5
