Everything here is delicious. It is a Cedar Rapids staple and iconic location with the airplane on the roof and airplane decorations throughout the inside. They have fantastic hot dogs, gyros, burgers and appetizers. The French fries are unique and tasty as well. What a great place to eat, especially on a nice day outside sitting on their outdoor patio in the front. I definitely recommend having lunch here.
A Cedar Rapids classic, real Chicago fast food whenever you want it. Plus there's an airplane on the roof. What more do you need? Make sure you get their fresh cut french fries.Food: 5/5
This place is as good as I remember from my childhood. Fries were perfect, we got the half BBQ and the 1/4 hot dog and all of it was done to perfection
This place is fantastic. Great food, great price, interesting airplane-themed interior with multiple arcade cabinets, and a very cool airplane-topped building. So far my favorite local restaurant in Cedar Rapids, definitely eat here given the opportunity. It's the only place I've found nearby to get an authentic Chicago dog, plus the fries are killer. 10/10 would recommend
I ate here for the first time today. Service was good, prices were reasonable and the chili on the chili dog is the bomb. Fries are delicious too!
Food was eh, owner was eh, servers were nice, burnt and not fully peeled grilled onion, the fries are over dark single fry so they go limp immediately. Also when asked if they had a changing table, the response was "we arent high tech enough for that"...... theres a literal ultralight plane inside the restaurant, but you arent "hightech" enough for, a board, 2 chains and bolts and 3 metal hinges, ok...

Great Chicago dogs. Funky vibe, counter service, limited seating.
Made a point of making this a stop on a recent road trip from CO to WI & I was not disappointed. For an aviation nerd like myself the decor and plane on the roof was good enough. But that Italian Beef was pretty great too.
