Genoa Bay Cafe

The only place I've ever liked the Calamari (my wife ordered it): tender, lightly fried, wonderfully spiced. Clam chowder was very good, and their burger was just fantastic. Lightly toasted bun, flavourful bacon, just overall scrumptious. Fries had a nice crisp outer coat, also lightly spiced. My wife had the salmon burger. Large piece of fish with a pesto like sauce - lots of flavour (not a mayo burger, which my wife appreciates). The locale is beautiful - we ate outside overlooking the harbour. Just a wonderfully relaxing lunch.

The service was very friendly & professional. Ambience was great. No vegan or vegetarian choices on the menu. Appetizers, especially seafood chowder, we're excellent. Jambalaya main course was suitably spicy & delicious, although advertised mussels were not available and with my prior consent were replaced by additional delicious shrimp. My wife's chicken dish was very nicely presented over a portobello mushroom & a delicious sliced potato. All was dressed by a dragon fruit salsa. Unfortunately the chicken itself was quite overdone and dry. The carrot cake desert was a treat!

Great spot for our lunch, met the owner and staff, they are great people. I had halibut and chips, nice and light and the fries were fresh. Can't wait to ride out that way again!

Great service and tasty food. Could use more vegetarian & vegan options. Only had a veggie burger. Would be really nice if they did fried tofu & chips

Very Friendly Staff! Nice menu... great "Mussels in Yellow Curry Sauce". Interesting building and history.
