It is always an amazing experience visiting Gebeta. The food, service, and vibe of the place is incredible. There are many tasty vegan/vegetarian as well as many meat options. We ordered the “Kornis” for this visit and it was amazing! Very clean and quiet atmosphere with delicious food. Vegetarian options: Many vegan and vegetarian options Kid-friendliness: Definitely an appropriate restaurant for kids Parking: There are many spots available on the side of the building or in the back
We went here last night for the first time. I got hungry at the Kalidoscope festival and wanted a meal rather than a fast food item. I ordered a Dor Wot plate. It had chicken and a stewed type sauce. It was really good. It came with the Ethiopian bread. I've never been a fan of that type of bread as it's quite spongy with a stretchy pancake look and feel to it. And it's generally sour or fermented tasting. The one here was more palatable for my tastes. Less fermented tasting. Perhaps less traditional? I'm not an expert on Ethiopian foods and my first ever experience was 30 years ago at an Ethiopian friend's home. At thier home, everything was served as a communal sharing meal. We sat on mats on the floor. This restaurant I think serves individual plates that you can order as a single meal. More western style. But I'd recommend going with a small group of people and each ordering a plate to share. Would I come back? Yes. The atmosphere is nice too.
Wow! Can’t recommend this place enough. The staff are so warm and welcoming, the food incredible and the atmosphere comfortable and inviting. I recommend enjoying a coffee after your meal, you won’t be disappointed.
My first time having Ethiopian cuisine. We had the Vegan Platter and the Derke. It was delicious! We also tried the coffee thanks to the wonderful owner of the restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised by the taste and the aroma. We will definitely be back!
The food was phenomenal. We must of arrived on a busy evening, we had to wait an hour for our meal, even after putting in a reservation. But the wait was worth it! Atmosphere was nice, comfortable seating, great company, but there was cold air blowing on us which was not so nice. Overall I really enjoyed it. My advice would be to don't be in a hurry and bring a sweater.
Delicious food and great music. The injera was a bit too sour for my palate, so next time I would ask for pita bread instead.
Had the best kitfo in years. Injera was fresh and just sour enough to make the meal fantastic. Also ordered the ceremonial coffee. I've been missing this since before COVID but it was well worth waiting for. A must purchase for all diners.Atmosphere: 5/5
Delicious food! It was our first time visiting but we’ll be back
Really enjoyed my dinner here! The Vegan Sampler had a great mix of dishes at a really reasonable price and generous portion size. The Azifa Dip was also very tasty with pita chips. I would come again!Recommended dishesVegan Sampler
Don’t come here if you’re starving. If you have the time to wait you’re going to have an amazing meal. Had four different items on the menu and every one was fantastic! Worth every minute here. Vegetarian options: Way too delicious Dietary restrictions: So many options for vegans
