In keeping with ancient traditions of Central and Western Ethiopia, our food is prepared with homemade spices, served in traditional galleries filled with beautiful artifacts. Great place to go. I was a bit hesitant at first when an Ethiopian friend suggested eating here, but so glad I went. It is truly a great experience. Not only was the service great but the regulars were also very friendly. The food was fresh and the experience eating with injera was both fun and not as hard as I anticipated. But it is the coffee that makes me want to give it a 6! It was great. Highly recommend this restaurant.
If you are looking for amazing Ethiopian food, definitely check out Awash! Everything was really good, great portions and the flavors!!! I have had Ethiopian in a few different cities and this was the best by far! Great service and a clean space too. Worth checking out!
This restaurant has the best Ethiopian food I have ever tried, hands down! We were quickly greeted by Limu sorry about the spelling, this man wears many hats. He greets you at the door, takes your order and serves your food, I think he's the owner of this establishment. The restaurant wasn't busy when we got there but it quickly became busy and Limu didn't miss a beat. We ordered the Cha Cha Tibs, Doro Tibs and Shiro Wot. I've had these items before from other Ethiopian restaurants but this version tasted better and those other restaurants were amazing as well. What my wife and I appreciated was when Limu asked us how spicy we wanted our food, I didn't realize how spicy a certain dish was. We appreciated that as we don't have a super high spice tolerance. It's this attention to detail that will have us coming back. My wife had never tried Ethiopian food and she was blown away by the presentation and how fun you can eat this food. If you've never had Ethiopian food before, please come to this restaurant; you won't leave disappointed. I give this place 2 and would highly recommend this place for all foodies. A++ restaurant! Parking: Lots of parking behind the restaurant.
Delicious food and great value!! We got the Veggie combo and the lamb to share and let me tell you it was bomb! I also had a glass of their guava juice and it was the perfect combination Will definitely be back.
The food was delicious. We ordered several dishes to share and each was loaded with flavour. They explained the Ethiopian way of eating and suggested dishes for us to try.Food: 5/5
The best Ethiopian I've had in years! A group of 5 ordered and made a huge platter. While servers weren't particularly present, they were great when there. The food! Astounding! Had so many dishes! All tremendous and delicious and not relying on heat and spice but seasoning and flavour.Food: 5/5

Had the most wonderful time here today. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is absolutely delicious, I love Ethiopian food but this place takes the cake and it is my favourite one I have been to in Edmonton. The dishes are super flavourful and the indoor seating is very relaxing and comfortable. Definitely will be back!! Would recommend to anyone looking to try some good food! Vegetarian options: Had vegan options Dietary restrictions: Very friendly and helpful to change any ingredients
Delicious food and wonderful to experience Ethiopian cuisine. We had the cha cha and the veggie combo. It was amazing. Honestly I cannot wait to go back. The Ethiopian coffee was incredible. Loved the laid back vibe of the place. Great place to go and just hang out with friends while enjoying deliciousness.
