I really want to like this place but every time I’ve been there something’s been off. It’s a cute cafe at a great location with a variety of bakery items. First time I went with a friend and they’re mixed up her orders. They gave her a wrong flavour donut and her drink wrong too. Second time I got a croissant and it tasted really bad and it was almost raw inside…
I had a wonderful time at Monaco Cafe. The staff were very helpful and nice, the food and drink was great and the place was clean, cozy and comfortable to hangout and relax.Food: 4/5
A cute and cozy coffee shop in Gastown, two minutes away from the famous steam clock. The coffee was really good and they have a very nice variety of pastries, baked goods and ice cream. The only thing I didn't like was the seating arrangement, it was very tight and hard to move around.Food: 4/5
Best part about this cafe is the prime location for people watching out the large windows. Seating space is a bit cramped, however. They have a wide selection of sweet treats, including gelato, cake, tarts, and croissants. Pretty good selection of coffees and teas as well! I got a Spanish latte and fruit tart, both of which were pretty good. I do think I preferred Buro, which was in this location before it reopened as Monaco Cafe.
Nice little cafe in the Gastown area. Friendly staff, nice coffee and great selection of cakes and pastries, and some sandwiches too. There’s Free Wi-Fi as well, and lots of indoor seating.
I recently spent a delightful afternoon at Monaco Cafe, a hidden gem in Vancouver, and was thoroughly impressed by my experience. After a full day of exploring the city on a warm summer day, this was exactly the oasis of calm I was looking for. My choice of refreshment was an iced Americano, and it was nothing short of perfection. It was clear that Monaco Cafe understands their coffee. The balance between the ice, water, and espresso was just right - providing a refreshing, rich, and robust flavor that was a welcome treat after my day out in the sun. It was evident that the barista had taken great care in crafting this drink. The atmosphere of Monaco Cafe was every bit as pleasing as the coffee. The space felt welcoming and comfortable, a place where one could easily lose track of time. The music was chill and unobtrusive, creating the perfect backdrop for relaxation or casual conversation. What truly set Monaco Cafe apart, though, was the staff. They were not just friendly, they were genuinely warm and personable. They seemed to take a real pleasure in chatting with customers, adding a personal touch that's increasingly rare to find. It's the kind of place where you're not just a customer, but a valued guest. In conclusion, Monaco Cafe offers more than just great coffee - it provides a delightful experience. If you're in Vancouver and in need of a coffee break or a place to unwind, I cannot recommend Monaco Cafe highly enough. Such a delicious cafe!!!! A must visit in Gastown. Phenomenal cappuccino and flat white. Old fashioned classic donut was unlike anything we’ve tried before. A+ location too
One of the Vancouvers Food Highlights ! Their sandwiches are amazing. I tried the Chicken Pesto , and it was just great. Their pricing is reasonable too. Will be back for sure.

When I came the cashier was looking down, didnt greet me at all, there is no service at all, have to take everything by myself. Too loud music, average cakes, ok coffee. Chocolate cake was old and dry. I dont recommend.Food: 3/5
