I had THE WORST experience at this Gap location because of the store manager Karrie. My husband went in store to return a pair of jeans for me (because the size doesn't fit), which I had received only 3 days ago. The store manager Karrie refused to accept the return because she thinks "It looks wore, it looks old, and it smells like perfume," First of all, it is indeed a DESTRUCTED JEANS! It is made to look wore and old!! Second of all, I don't even wear any perfume, let alone getting smell on the jeans after trying it on at home for 10 minutes!! Her reasons are obviously made up and meant to endanger Gap's reputation. Karrie told my husband in store that I could call her to discuss this issue. So I called. She refused to tell me the entire story simply because "your husband already know." She implied that my husband and I are lying and she refused to accept the return. I've shopped Gap countless times and never even once had any issue with return/exchange. I love all Gap.inc brands especially because of their straight-forward return/exchange process and friendly service. I worked at Old Navy before, which is one of the Gap.inc brands, and I have never seen any customer being treated this way at the store I worked at. I sincerely believe that Karrie should not be a store manage and shouldn't even be working at any customer-facing position due to her lack to manners, rude attitude, and lack of professionalism. Karrie, you're very lucky that Google doesn't allow people to give negative ratings.

Very bad customer service! Today my car need to get rust protection, so I have to wait for 3 hours. CF markville is beside the auto company. On my way to the McDonald, I saw the Gap store. I went inside to ask the staff to check the style number (it was the old style, the staff in the Scarbough Town Center did check for me but there was no size for my daughter. The 1st thing came to my mind is the store here might have it). The staff in the cashier counter was very nice, suddenly the manager came and told me she is only the cashier. It is the beginning of the shift, the cashier cannot check the style from computer! Who can do it? If you cannot give good service to customer. How can you be a manager? I will never ever go inside this Gap store!!!!!

this review is specifically regarding the service manager Karrie. I went in today to do a return of an online order for my wife, a pair of jeans she purchased last week but size does not fit well. She denied the return stating she feels the item has been worn and has the smell of perfume on it? I explained its only been worn inside the house to test on size but not outside, and the funny part is my wife dont even put on perfume. She simply doubted my explanation and said I was lying, and told us to contact the customer service phone number. With her service attitude, she honestly should not be a manager. Ruined our impression of a store we usually shop at. *Update: after calling customer service phone channel, we were offered a $90 gift card to compensate for the negative experience.

This store offers a broad selection of stylish apparel for children. The display of their merchandise is eye-catching and appealing. Their prices are fair in return for purchasing solid, everyday wear clothing for dressing up your kids in style. As gifts, their items are generally well received. $$

Last night I was excited to go into the Gap for the Friends and Family event. I ended up walking out of the store disgusted with the appearance. There were piles of clothes everywhere, dust balls all over the floor, and not an employee in sight. I have walked into this store several times hoping to find it a little cleaner but I am tired of being disappointed. Having worked in the retail industry before, I know that it is difficult to keep up with the mess sometimes. But this was just unacceptable. I have been in several other Gaps, ones bigger than your store, during such events and if they can keep up with the clothes and keep customer service a priority, then I don't see why you can't do the same. If the district manager walked in last night I imagine that they would be having a harsh conversation with the managers at this store. You need to hire more customer friendly employees who are capable of cleaning up and keeping your store acceptable. I know that it wasn't just me that felt this way last night. I overheard other customers talking about the mess. The store wasn't that busy so there is NO reason that it should have looked like that. Maybe I walked in at a time where some of the employees were on their break, and if that is true that was very poor planning on the managers part. I know this is a harsh review, but this store NEEDS to improve. I hope this review wakes up the managers and helps them get their act together. I love the Gap, but now I will be doing my shopping online because shopping in this store is just impossible.
