THIS LOCATION NEEDS TO GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER when it comes to DoorDash orders. I've ordered countless times and each time they ALWAYS mess up my order. But this time I didn't even receive a portion of what I ordered. I ordered 2 LARGE sundaes. The dasher dropped off the bag which had the correct receipt on it.... But the contents of the bag was a single small sundae. And not even one of the sundaes I had ordered. The workers there do not follow instructions, have no awareness of what they're doing and clearly have no common sense.
This has to be the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my entire life. First off, we stood awaiting simple acknowledgment to be seated for roughly ten minutes. Secondly, our waitress changed twice and finally the one they set us up with happened to have the worst attitude rolling her eyes at our orders, sucking teeth, scoffing and so on. Finally they get us just our drinks and my wife’s cup of water had dried syrup from soda on the inside. Then, when we got our entrees, the fish had a STRONG fishy smell, spots of grey, and made her stomach turn after only a few bites. When asking the manager if we could order something else, he said yes but no one returned to take the order after telling us the fish was frozen so it can’t be bad. He had walked by several times. After about 15 minutes of waiting I walked up for the check and they comped the fish luckily, but not without an attitude. The waitress SNATCHED the receipt from the manager. The entire time we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. My advice is to avoid if possible. In my opinion a health inspection is way overdue, Ice cream still good though.
Friendly's is one of our favorite places to eat a meal or have some ice cream, even when we are far away from home. We know what the menu is going to be and the quality of the food. Their prices will also not break your wallet. The West Springfield location has added new items to their menu and the interior of the store has new wallpaper. Parking: There is plenty of parking available with curbside pickup and wheelchair accessible parking near the entrance. Wheelchair accessibility: The building is wheelchair accessible with wheelchair spots near the entrance.
So upsetting, my son and I are frequently dine in at Friendly's all over Massachusetts, but this time around, in West Springfield was our last. Terrible experience. We watched several people walk out after attempting to order ice cream and waiting for over an hour after ordering. I have to add that this place was not busy at the time. We sat at the counter just for ice cream and watched staff gossiping and joking around, 3 of which were standing around just delegating while two others scrambled to get everything done. We then received a half a cup of ice cream, my 11 year was so upset. He orders the same sundae every-time and barely got anything at all at this location. They looked at me and said, it is what it is. UNACCEPTABLE.
I went to this Friendly’s to pick up a mobile order for my sister and her coworkers. After waiting for her to text me that it was sent, I went inside to wait for it to be ready. She has asked me to ask them for extra sour cream because the app didn’t have an option for that specific request. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by, as I found out later, the manager, Dan. He was sooooo nice and professional. I told him I had to add something to a mobile order that was just sent. He went to look for it after telling me that was not a problem at all, but came back to me saying it wasn’t in his queue to be made. So after finally getting my sister back on the phone, she can’t always answer right away due to her job being demanding, she sent me a screen shot of the order proving she sent it to that location. What was so amazing was Dan read the order and started making it right away so I didn’t have to wait for their mobile ordering system to catch up with the busy demand! Then what happened was my sister text me back saying she NEVER HIT SEND! As soon as she did, the order came through so proof of payment was there and I didn’t have to wait any longer for them because Dan already made my life easier and amazing by starting the order right away! Then Cheri, a wonderfully nice server, finished making the fribbles because they didn’t want them melting while the food was being prepared. I just had the best experience with both of these amazing people I had to tell someone! They didn’t have to do what they did and it could have made my afternoon longer and my sister missing her lunch time because of her no realizing she didn’t press send. But Dan’s quick thinking and Cheri’s help finishing the order made everything perfect for all involved! I will go to that location from anywhere in western MA because of the experience of a take out order! Now that’s pretty amazing! THANK YOU DAN AND CHERI for not only saving me so much time, but for making my sister and her coworkers an amazing meal and fribbles! GREAT JOB FRIENDLY’S ON RIVERDALE IN WEST SPRINGFIELD! 10 STARS!!!
It wasn't the best experience I've had here. It took a while to get our food. One of the dishes was wrong....it was grilled chicken instead of fried. Once it was brought out, the dish was wrong again. We were told it'd be a five minute wait for the dish to come out. Everyone was done eating and the dish was still not ready. We ended up taking it 'to go'. The food was good. But the loaded waffle fries had like 5 pieces of bacon. Icecream sundaes are delicious. The staff was very distracted. We witnessed our waitress crying as she was told by the manager to go home for the day.
The waiter was fantastic and the restaurant was clean but the food was absolutely Dog food I ordered the turkey dinner half the food was cold and had a terrible bitter flavor my daughter's food was not so great either the mozzarella sticks were like rubber and her side of Mac and cheese was way over cooked she couldn't even eat that if we're not in such a hurry probably would have waited for new food but you shouldn't have e to do that
Please take your business to another establishment. Ordered take out with missing food and the most pathetically crafted Reese's Pieces sundae. The pictures I am sharing are before even taking a single bite of a large sundae. If you want mediocre food that's priced high and have extremely low expectations, you'll find this location fantastic. If not, there are plenty of other restaurants during this time that want your business. Go there. I will be.
The food was over cooked and nothing made from scratch. My fish-and-chips were nothing special. They were obviously right out of the package and into the fryer and overcooked on the outside while undercooked on the inside. We will NEVER eat here again. Our server though was awesome! She was an older lady and was attentive and just great, but the food YUK!
Service and quality of food were amazing. Shout out to Jason, the waiter that took care of us. He was very welcoming, friendly, and super energetic. He got the job done and was over the top. Should have more employees like him! Thank you.
