French Press Coffee Roasters

This is my second time here…and it was amazing yet again!nnI opted for the Shakshouka - absolutely delicious nnThe drip coffee wasn’t to my taste - it’s quite acidic so it tastes a bit ‘off’ to me. Others have shared this view as well.nnThe barista, Rob, was friendly, interested in hearing my experience and happily made me an americano instead…what a wonderful place this is!nnI’ll be back

Exceptional. The coffee is the best I have found on Vancouver Island so far. Lightly roasted with a full range of flour. The flat white had perfectly textured milk with filter coffee made using a Hario V60 - always a good indicator for great coffee shops. The drop scone I had was soft with a lovely crust without trying to break your teeth. Heading back as quickly as I can.

Food is great - fresh and great variety ,very welcoming staff, coffee is one of the best we’ve ever tried. Big thank you for opening time - 7-30 AM on Sunday morning!nHighly recommend!

I had the breakfast bowl. I thought it was delicious.The sliced sausage was delicious as was the thick cut bacon. The eggs and toast were scrumptious. All this was served with some greens and a slice of tomato. All in all it was hearty and robust and quite delicious.nnBut I was shocked at the coffee. It was terrible. It was French Press and tasted like water. I don’t know what happened there.nnGood is good, coffee is not good, sorry.

Dined in with an iced latte and bacon breakfast sandwich. Iced latte is among the best I’ve ever had, and the breakfast sandwich was delicious. All the folks working were friendly and the space was clean. I wish the food and drink were prepared a bit faster, but it was a busy Sunday morning. French Press reminded of a sign I recently saw elsewhere, “We’re not in the business of fast food. We’re in the business of great food as fast as possible.” And with that said, I look forward to returning.
